Cool, Look forward to meeting you.

You already met us at Ladew, but we were sort of trailing behind the main group. I was waiting for one of your kids to fall in the duck pond or the stream with the fish.
I can’t wait to hear her say, “Scumbag!” If I throw trash on the floor, will she say it on command?
BTW, I know lots of neat words to teach her.
liberty3701 and myself would like to come. Can we get a ride from the Middletown station? I believe we can easily make the train which arrives at 2:15. We can bring vegan sausages/burgers and I like to bake desserts.
Are we staking a claim as to what we’re bringing?
If so, I think danceswithcats and I are bringing carrot cake. It got rave reviews at the “Welcome Antigen To Baltimore” DopeFest in April, and will travel fairly well.
(Just pray there isn’t another coconut incident.)
Are we doing nametags? We’ll be meeting a whole new bunch of Dopers, and it would be helpful.

Please just confirm the train time near the day and we’ll arrange for someone to pick you up.
I only have one grill, last time I grilled veggie burgers, we put down some foil to grill on to prevent meat contamination. Will that be okay?

Name Tags sounds good, we did use them last time. The Carrot Cake sounds great.
So I’ll be arriving at my parents place on June 7th, which means I should be able to attend, barring unforeseen complications. I’ll bring brownies or something.
Oh, and sign me up for veggie burgers too. Should I bring some? I’ll bring some. Also, what is this coconut incident?

Cool, someone will need to instruct me in grilling vegan sausages/burgers on the day. Will the foil be good enough? Should I have a foil pan on hand? Some other trick?

We’re not that picky. Same grill as the beef is fine. Spatial Rift 47 may have other opinions, though I imagine the foil would be enough.

The foil would be fine. I’m not an uptight vegetarian, or at least I try not to be.
I hope it’s not too late to come in. I’d be driving in from Philadelphia. I can bring sodas and/or beer.
Never too late and Soda or beer sounds good. I will have a lot of diet soda, cans of coke and a case of Bass Ale. I will have some juice boxes and home made Ice tea. Any other drinks should probably be brought.

Can I get a ride with you? It’s much less complicated to chip in for gas than to coordinate septa and patco timetables and arrange a ride from the closest station.

We were making a carrot cake for the recent “Welcome Antigen to Baltimore” DopeFest. danceswithcats said, “Okay, time for the coconut,” and I grabbed the bag of coconut off the counter and turned around to get the scissors. I cut the end off the bag, not realizing he’d already snipped the other end of it off. I’d been spilling coconut all over the place.
Luckily, he’d just cut off a small corner, or it would have been a huge mess.

I had missed this thread before. Is it too late to get in on this? And what should I bring?
Anaamika, if you want to drive down as far as Newburgh, I can drive the rest of the way and would welcome the company. Anyone else who’s coming down from NY email me if you need a ride.
Well, I am out. I will be getting into NJ next weekend, but I think plans have been made for me already, so I’ll most likely be in NYC for the parade on Sunday, which is cool since I haven’t been to it in like 15 years. Have a great time!

Cool, look forward to meeting you this time. (Philly Prison thing “missed by that much”)
Bring whatever you like.
psycat90, sorry to miss you. Enjoy yourself, it sounds like you will.
I’d like to come, if it’s not too late to respond by now. (I realize we’re only a week away at this point.) If I can still come, could you send me directions? And is it OK if my SO comes, too?
I can, indeed, bring food of some kind. What sorts of food would we still be in need of (assuming it’s OK if I come, of course.)
