Well, the gang is back at their titular location. Initial impressions: Deena seems cool, if a little out of control, although her whole desperation to sleep with Mike and then freaking out at Sami was a bit weird.
Also, Sami is the worst. Even worster than last season. Her whole laying around in bed and complaining about the whole house hating her was awful.
I actually kind of feel for Vinnie in the hot tub. I felt like he handled everything in the most gentlemanly way possible.
Snooki looks better to me than last season, although her fake tan seems a bit strong.
oh, and i don’t buy that the bikini bottom “accidentally” came off either though… the entire scene did weird me out because of how intently the cameramen were capturing it, and how fully lit the room was.
I definitely think she’s the most attractive, but I find her personality SO offputting. She’s not even fun like the other girls. She literally spent the whole ep in bed, except for the 45 seconds where she screamed at Deena.
I’m a newbie to this show - but I am totally hooked.
Sami is a horrid bitch, Vinnie is cool but young and a little sleazy, Pauly D seems like the nicest all around guy, Deena seems fine to me, Ronnie is just dumb, and I like Jenny because she seems very normal for that crowd.
But - Snooki and The Situation seem like the smartest of the bunch. Hear me out!
Both of them seem to be *very *show savvy, which no doubt the producers appreciate and will do well for them in the future. The Situation in particular seems geared toward anticipating what situations (ha!) and scenes look best on camera, and several times, particularly during the fight, he seemed to be doing exactly the right thing while he was in the background.
Also, he seems to be very good at creating only low-level drama, and standing away from the crazy drama, which will serve him well in the future. He’s crazy like a fox.
there was something very off about the way ron and sammi fought last night. even with the edited footage, it just seemed… out of the blue yet expected at the same time. the inevitable breakup seems like scripted, which i know shouldn’t shock me, yet it does.
also, sateryn, you think the sitch is foxy? seriously? the situation?
He does look like he could be a Manning; I never realized that before!
I think the most attractive dude is Vinnie (maybe Ronnie if he de-guidoed a bit), but by far the best personality is Pauly.
Also, I just realized that most of them have names that end in a long -e sound. The only exceptions being Deena and Sitch.
I think my absolute favorite of all of the cast is Jenny, though. Zero drama, totally tough, and really really fun. And very loyal to her friends. Also, I think it’s interesting that she’s and Sammi are the only ones we’ve seen not hook-up with someone from a club or bar.
I’m with you on Jenni - she just seems like a grown-up. Pauly too, but his hair is just too much. But he seems like a genuinely nice guy.
Vinnie is a little too young for me - his sexual behavior just gives me flashbacks to all the a-holes I used to know when I was 22. But points to him for not taking advantage of Snooki. It appears he’s just not attracted to her, but he let her down easily, without being a a dick. Plus, he didn’t just go for it, which most horny young a-holes would do.
But I can’t stand his waxed, squared hairline.
It looks like MTV is running some kind of marathon on Monday, but I can’t tell which season it’s from. I hope it’s Miami, since then I can get background on the Ronnie/Sammi thing. What a totally boring couple, made up of two dumb people. Seriously, Ronnie seems about as smart as a rock, and Sammi is just the epitome of a 22 year old spoiled brat.
Paulie and Jenny are the only somewhat relatable characters on the show, for me.
I started watching Jersey Shore recently, so I saw a lot of episodes in a short time. It kinda makes the whole shallow, lying scumbag aspect more visible.
