Grow up, honey.
That’s pretty harsh. Plenty of older people post friend, cow-orker and even family/spouse rants here too.
I always find it kind of interesting when I hear a story about teenagers and/or high school, and I don’t relate at all.
Which is every time I ever hear a story about teenagers and/or high school.

This is my completely uneducated guess, but it sounds to me like this person’s immature and annoying behavior is just a sign of a much more fundamental problem. Given the way she makes fun of other people and then takes pity on herself, it seems like she just has incredibly low self-esteem. I’ve known people like this, and yes, they are incredibly annoying to be around. I feel your pain.
If I were you, I’d just avoid her, and make it really obvious that the reason is because she’s so immature and condescending. (I’d say more “bitchy” than “immature”; Immature is when you laugh at the poop jokes in the Austin Powers movies. Making fun of the preppy kids for wearing pink just makes you a jerk.)
Hey, ease up. As Domokun said, the Pit is full of rants about friends, family members, and coworkers. And many of those rants contain complaints that seem trivial to outsiders. But we all know what it’s like to have to deal with someone who just gets on our last nerve, so we sympathize, and we’re glad that the Pit offered them a venue to blow off some steam. Maybe most of us can’t relate to daredevil’s complaints because we’re a bunch of old farts who wouldn’t know Hillary Duff if she bit us on the…er…duff, but Friend E sounds like a highschool version of the sister-in-law who is utterly scandalized because you planted daisies in the garden or the coworker who spends all her money on lottery tickets and then whines about how she can’t pay the electric bill. What’s the difference? It was a good rant.
Dare_devil–if you want her to quit hinting that she’s suicidal, go tell a guidance counselor that you think your friend’s suicidal. They’ll swing into action, natch. They live for that stuff. If your friend really is suicidal, then she needs the help. If she’s not, and it’s all a ploy for attention–well, she’ll learn that all important life lesson: be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.
