I think he’s dismissing MsRobyn’s personal opinion of lissener because she’s “a big, fat ugly woman”.
At least that’s the impression I got.
I’m not ready to take sides yet because going from his quoted post in the OP RickJay seems to be the one who snarked first.
I know lissener has a history of being pitted but in this particular instance I’m not sure who was being the ass here.
Maybe you both were?

Aw, I’m not so bad, am I? I can be kinda prickly sometimes, I’m equally hated by Starving Artist and Miller, lissener’s been a friend for almost 20 years (and yeah, I think most of his Pittings are pretty lame), and I talk about an obscure artist entirely too much for some people’s comfort (though hey, I haven’t even mentioned her name for months), but on the plus side, I never ever ever post TMI crap, and try to keep quiet about personal problems and don’t much go around woe-is-meeing (not casting aspirations on anyone who does). That’s gotta count for something.
I gotta say, I appreciate that too.
Is Cher really “obscure”? Don’t keep up with pop culture much, but that surprises me…

I know that this is probably jinxing it and inciting a train wreck, but does this thread strike anybody else as pretty much the perfect Pit thread? RickJay comes in and says “I know this isn’t going to change anything, but lissener pissed me off” and vents, lissener comes in and states his case, everybody pretty much agrees that they’re both most likely a bit madder than they should be but that lissener’s been better lately, there’s some nice ribbing and ha-ha in-jokes, and that seems to kind of settle it. There’s even some random trollery by Zhen’ka that’s not even worth getting into a flamewar over.
So everybody gets to vent, some laughs are had, and folks just go along their merry way. A pretty little Pit picture.
…Except now that I’ve said it, somebody’s going to ruin everything and this will get to be an eight-page vitriol fest.

I don’t hate you. I try to reserve hate for people like Paul Bernardo, Osama bin Laden (and others of his ilk who try to make political statements by committing terrorist acts and depriving innocent people of their lives) and, you know, people like that.
I respect and admire your your knowledge (and the sheer volume of it) when it comes to movies and music, and I respect the overriding intelligence that makes that knowledge possible.
But I also think you’re an illogical, hotheaded crackpot in other ways.
There is no one on this board, however, and most certainly not you, that I hate based on what I know of them so far. (Red Shirt does come close though.)
The B stands for best? Well, that explains that last awkward situation I was in…
Anyhow, I have a like/hate thing for the guy. When I read about what lissener enjoys listening to and why, I like him. When I read why he thinks someone else has the taste of a banana slug, I hate him. And in all fairness, I haven’t seen much of the latter at all lately.
The thing I can admire most is that he won’t give a shit about my opinion either way.
