Jesus - REALLY Vancouver? It's a fucking hockey game.

Police Chief said that the majority of those arrested on Wednesday night were from the suburbs or outside of the lower mainland. Not sure if he’s covering up the shame, but in my experience, it is true that the rowdy assholes are often bored suburban kids who think a trip to the city means getting drunk at a downtown bar, scoring cocaine, and puffing his chest out at anyone who dares to eye their lady.

I really think what happened was that there were a group of people who had all the intention of starting something. The situation was ripe for it, and then mob mentality struck and you have a few other guys who are normally not violent assholes just joining in because if everyone else is looting right in front of you, why should you miss out?!

Of course, the cleanup on Thursday didn’t make international news, but it’s good to know that there are decent people out there who will contribute positive actions.

Got some rare footage that shows just how differently Canadians [del]riot[/del] rampage.

I’m an Ottawa fan that cheered on Vancouver because they were a Canadian team. Last time I’ll ever cheer on the Canucks, here’s hoping they never make into the finals again.

I have the same feeling for the Habs as well, due to the same behaviour.

When the Senators lost game 7 for the cup a few years ago. We had Elgin st. closed off to regular traffic. It was called the Sens mile. After game 7 that street was packed, not one window broken, not one car over turned, nothing set ablaze. There was a few arrests for public drunkeness but nothing idiotic.

Congratulations Boston.

Motivational Poster from the riots.

Is this in any way related to the end of the world in 2012?

He also blamed “anarchists” - is BC just a century behind the times?
