Jihadi parents sent 7 year-old daughter on suicide bombing mission

Why wouldn’t the cowardly parents do it themselves?

Because the police would be on guard against attacks from adults, but would not be on guard from attacks by 7 year-olds.

Because they can reload the ole suicide bomb in another seven years this way. It would take quite a bit longer if they waited for her to produce little bombs of her own. If you want an omelette you break a few eggs not the chickens that lay them.

If true, that’s beyond sub-human. It’s sub-animal.

What was really noteworthy wasn’t so much that children were sent to die, but the whole part about kissing and hugging them goodbye beforehand. IIRC, some serial killers were, supposedly, friendly, warm, normal, chatty, perceptive people at the same time that they were killers.

Or at least that dualism exists. People can kill and murder while also showing loving parental behavior.

Some animals eat their own young. Just saying.

It’s unwise to forget that above it all humans are animals. We just tell ourselves we’re not. It’s that lie that’s the dangerous lie. The difference is that animals are not supposed to know better but cruelty is not a human invention by any means.

And Ted Bundy worked a suicide prevention hotline. Good and evil are a scale an no one ever has been 100% either way.

Hey, the parents made sure the kids were warmly dressed.

Thanks, I just lost one of the last few shred of hope I had in humanity.

I’m gonna go cry in my little corner of Trump America.

They believe martyrs go straight to heaven. So they’re doing her a favor.

Jesus. God.

Beam me up, Scottie. I’ve had it.

:frowning:

What’s a 7 year old going to do with 64 virgins?

What makes this even more bizarre is that the only reason we know many of the details is that the parents themselves apparently bragged about it.

But he probably wasn’t very good at it.

According to Ann Rule, the crime writer who worked with him in the center he was excellent at it. She wasn’t a crime writer at the time. That came later and her book about him “The Stranger Beside Me” was an interesting read. She considered him a friend so it has to be taken with a grain of salt but seeing as she was a firsthand witness, I’ll take her word for it. I’ve never heard of anyone working there refuting it in any case.

I have no trouble believing it. Gacy did good deeds too. Everything is a spectrum yet I keep looking for the one that tops out full evil or full good. I doubt I’ll ever find such a person. I’ve found some that are pretty darned close though.

uh huh …

Well, of course. After all, it is the religion of peace. And what better way to show that than to have your daughter go out on a bombing mission.

Judging an entire group of people by the actions of a tiny, fractional minority, is a poor substitute for reasoning.

What’s really gross is that among your more fundamentalist Muslims, there’s a belief that dead children in heaven are able to plead with Allah directly on behalf of their parents for admittance into heaven when their parents die. Apparently, Allah has a soft spot for kids.

These parents are looking for easing their own way into heaven on the blast mangled backs of their own children. Nice.

FTR the Metro makes the Daily Mail look sensible.
