Jim Parsons is out (and in the New York Times, no less)

Our whole universe was in a hot dense state, then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started, wait… the Earth began to cool, the autotrophs began to drool, neanderthals developed tools, we built a wall, we built the pyramids. Math, science, history, unravelling the mysteries, of whether Jim Parsons is really gay. Gay!

The Alicia Keys factor.

People used to speculate that Keys was a lesbian because she’d refuse to talk about who she was dating. So everyone assumed the secret she was hiding was a girlfriend.

The reality was that Keys was seeing a married man. Once he split from his wife and got divorced, they went public.

You can’t come out if you were never in.

Wikipedia told me he was gay months ago. Old news!

Jim Parsons has long attributed his ability to play the much younger Sheldon Cooper to the low elevation, high air pressure, and high humidity of his native Houston. Heat, humidity, and temperature inversions are good fro the skin. As for sun damage? Some summers you will never see the sun.

I’ve seen Parsons a few times at Stages Rep and I think once or twice at The Alley, but I cant find the Alley programs to be sure. He was pretty big on stage here before he went to LA.

Count me not shocked.

Yeah, I grew up in Houston, lived there for 18 years. Houston doesn’t make you younger. It just makes you fatter, and desperate for AC.

I have probably the least functional gaydar in captivity, and even I am having difficulty being surprised.

But I love that show, and I love Parsons’ work in it. For Father’s Day I want a T-shirt that says

Not that it matters, but who is his partner? Another actor?

Regards,
Shodan

By “‘gay’ and ‘orthodox Jew’”, he was referring to Parsons and Mayim Bialik (sp?).

Whenever I read a story like this, I remember what a Doper wrote when Ricky Martin came out:
This just in. Gay man is gay.

Well, it was when Ernest Borgnine and Ethel Merman did.

To this day, Borgnine does not answer questions about his marriage to Ethel, remembering it apparently as one of the worst hours of his life.

I honestly didn’t know he was gay until I read it here when I first found this thread a while back but I hadn’t really given it much thought to begin with. Either way, I just ran across this picture on facebook and it was certainly the most shocking thing to me when I read the article.

As an avid BBT viewer, it’s common knowledge that they’re much older then the people they portray and that Sheldon was considerably older the everyone else. But it’s been a while since I’ve thought about it and I thought ‘they’ were all about 32 or 33 and he was like 35.
