According to the imdb, Joaquin Phoenix recently suffered a breakdown while filming a biopic of Johnny Cash. http://imdb.com/news/wenn/#2

Apparently, it was during a scene involving the death of Cash’s younger brother, which reminded Phoenix too much of the death of his own. Now they are thinking of moving the shooting from Memphis to Hollywood to make the actor more comfortable.

Isn’t Hollywood (L.A.) where River Phoenix died, though?

Yeah it was, but even though it is, being in Hollywood where making a movie is “normal” and I suspect Joaquin lives there, it would make it easier for him to deal with.
