We saw him do Q&A after a showing of Holy Grail last year. He was very funny. The anecdote that stuck with me was that the costumes were very uncomfortable and that, after a long day of filming, itching and sweating, there would be a mad dash back to the cast’s quaint old hotel. It had an antiquated boiler, so usually only the first few people back would get a hot shower.
a few years before they filmed the movie they stayed at a small hotel with a strange owner. That guy and hotel was the real life inspiration for Fawlty Towers.
