I keep wondering if anyone other than I thought that Johnny Depp’s acting in the Pirate flick reminded one of Dudley Moore’s acting in Arthur (or was he acting, I can’t remember. ;)) None of the people I watched Pirates with know who Dudley Moore is/was. :smack:
Johnny Depp himself says that he based his characterization on Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones.
I didn’t see Depp as drunk all of the time. I did see an actor have a great time with a role.

Cool! I hadn’t heard that, but it was the first thing that occured to me when I saw it. All that was missing was a guitar and a cigarette adhered to his lower lip.
Actually, he said it’s a combo of Keth Richards and Pepe LePew.
He had too much fun making that movie. Rather than take a paycheck, he should have paid them.
