Jon Stewart worked for the state?

The other night, former governor of New Jersey and head of the 9/11 commission Thomas Kean was on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. During the course of the interview, Jon mentioned that he worked for Kean when he was governor of New Jersey, apparently in some minion-level position, though they never met. Does anyone know what his job was?

After graduating from William & Mary in 1984, Stewart held numerous jobs, including contingency planner for the New Jersey Department of Human Services, contract administrator for City University of New York, puppeteer for children with disabilities, and bartender at a local blue-collar bar, the Franklin Corner Tavern.
