If I use my PC to burn several jpg photos onto a DVD+R, and have it “make compatible” before ejecting, should those photos be readable when the DVD is put into a Mac?
I don’t know about the ‘make compatible’ part but I burn jpegs on cds and dvdrs all the time for people and rarely have a problem.
JPEGs are the same format on both Macs and PCs. It’s the TIFFs you need to worry about.
And I have no idea what making a DVD “compatible” means.
A modern mac should be able to read a DVD/CD using any reasonable current standard encoding. You shouldn’t have to take any extra steps.
