Trump’s a dumber version of Ron Burgundy. I wonder how his supporters would react if someone hacked Trump’s teleprompter feed and put in “Go fuck yourself, America.” and Trump read it?
How would Trump spin that one? He’s incapable of admitting any mistakes.
I saw a tweet that Individual 1 is using images from the taxpayer funded rally for campaign videos, but I can’t find any proof of that. I wonder if the FEC will issue a hefty fine to his campaign.
The mocking was the self-correction in the article. Of course, Trump has no concept of self-correction, nor does he have any idea how wrong he was about the Revolutionary War (or anything else at all, for that matter).
*’Twas brillig, and there has never been a day more brilig than today, and the slithy toves – the United States has the slithiest toves. Nobody’s toves are as slithy as ours.
They were gyre and gimbling in the wabe – long may they wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves, they were mimsy, that nobody can deny
And the mome raths were outgrabing. *
I keep reading about Trump’s speech on the 4th and how he said airports and he says it was because the teleprompter went down (but he knew the speech perfectly?). Well, why isn’t some reporter tracking down the teleprompter operator and asking them if that happened?
A production company was in charge of this event. They had to have supplied (or cross-rented) the gear and provided the people to operate it. I know because I do this kind of thing for a living. So somebody was there working the teleprompter; why not find them and ask them if the teleprompter went out?
Nah. Trump has proven over and over and time and time again he has no clue what a part of speech is or how to use it or correctly change a word from one form to another.
Why, so we can add this to yet another one of Trump’s lies? :dubious:
We already know that Trump’s story doesn’t make any sense, and we already know he is lying.
(Which is not to say that we shouldn’t ask the teleprompter operator anyway. However, I also heard that Trump didn’t use a production company this year as is normally done for the supposedly non-partisan 4th of July event, but that the event was set up by the White House instead – so we may not learn much from that operator.)
Trump’s show definitely wasn’t the usual “A Capitol Fourth” production, which evidently still went off on the west lawn of the Capital, completely separate from Trump’s show.
In my experience, none of the organizations you mentioned has their own stage, audio & video equipment, nor a dedicated staff to run it. I’m putting out feelers right now, trying to ascertain who provided gear and personnel.
I believe the White House has it’s own Technical Crew that handles teleprompters, PA systems (small systems), etc. for the president. Maybe part of the White House Communications Agency.
My contacts have returned two company names that provided gear; I’ll contact them tomorrow (both are on the East coast and closed atm) to see what gear & personnel they provided.
Why haven’t Actual Real Journalists done this already?
I want to see any story covering what Trump said to end with a fact-check: “Technicians employed by Cappy’s Capitol A/V claim the teleprompters were working in perfect order.”
