I usually use the Back button, but it takes forever and a day. Is there a quicker way?
And, how do you change your username? I changed it for bbboy, and like what I changed it to. Hey, and bring some color back to :D, please.
Quicker ways:
a) Post replies/view threads in another window.
b) Do a hostile takeover of the Chicago Reader, and spend a chunk of money upgrading the SDMB server.
Change your username - e-mail an administrator and present a convincing case. Changing usernames is a pain in the butt for the staff (since we try to keep track of who’s who - is this guy the same person that called me X a nazi in GD last wek?) and not something we like to do on a daily basis.
Changing smilies - very low on the list.

I believe with a mac you hold down the mouse button
cleops - investigate the features for your web browser that enable you to have multile windows open at once. If you post your browser version / operating system combination one of our many knowledgeable posters can provide you with step-by-step instructions.
Example:
Internet Explorer 5.0, Windows 2000: - in short-cut menu (right mouse button click) choose “Open in New Window”.
Netscape Communicator 6.2, MacOS: Holding down ctrl key, click on link and choose the similar command (can’t remember the exact wording off the top of my head.)
