June Making you go out of Tune? Rant About it Here.

So it is a little past 12:00 AM here…(EDT Time)

Anyways there isn’t much that is bothering me right now, except for how it is like 30 degrees (Celcius) in many of my classrooms. You know, I am always praising about summer and how it is the best season and how I wish to live in the south. And heat is part of the cost of enjoying such a great season…I don’t have a problem with it being hot outside because that is what it is supposed to be. My problem is with no air conditioning in buildings! The thermometer in Spanish (one of the hottest rooms in my school) read 86 degrees Fahrenheit. While that is great for outdoors, it is quite a discomfort when you are trying to conjugate verbs in the preterit and imperfect. And sadly, this isn’t even the worst of it. It has been said that these rooms can even get to about 32 to 34 degrees in there (I speak in Celcius now)! And we will be taking our final exams during that time too! In that same room! How the hell are we supposed to do well on an exam when it is 32 degrees there?

Oh yeah, and stop posting in that thread.

Apparently, I was ninja’d by Chimera by three minutes.

Psssh, my wife’s classroom got up to 100 degrees on Friday. In Vermont! She is on the third (highest) floor, and they have a new policy that no doors are allowed to be left open in classrooms or the hallways. So no cross ventilation or anything like that. It’s for fire safety- a fire might start on the first floor and a giant wall of burning fire death will travel down all the halls and up all the stairs and into all of the classrooms. I can not make this up! So most of the teachers on her floor have been holding classes in other lower parts of the school, like the band room in the basement.
