Stupid heat.
The power flickered just enough to cause our computers to reboot. Not even enough to reset the clocks in the house. And my wife is having to recreate the homework she was working on.
Is it summer where you are yet?

Oh, yeah.
It was close to 100 yesterday and today, and I am not happy about it. I recently moved into a house with swamp cooling, and it doesn’t work worth a shit. Which is frustrating, when I know for a fact that properly-running swamp coolers can and do work VERY well- the house could be cold. My landlord’s maintenance men put my son’s bedroom door on with the hinges on backwards, so I’m not anticipating a good outcome with fixing the cooler.
Woo freaking hoo, it’s almost 10 oclock and cool enough to start cleaning the house.
ETA: Well, that was rather whiny… on the plus side, I get to burn my hands on the handles and steering well every time I drive the car for the next 5 months. Yay!
It was forty degrees and raining today. Go shove it up your ass.
What a coincidence! It was 40 degrees here, too, last month. Celsius!
Our summer is March and April. April sees some real scorchers. We’re into the rainy season now, which cools things off a little bit. Came very early this year, toward the end of April. Usually does not arrive until June or even July.
105F here today in Southwestern Utah.
Right now it’s 10:37PM and still 95F.
And it’s only beginning.
It’s still in the 50s around here. Grumble.
Trade? We’re just coming down from three consecutive days of triple digits. You can have the heat.
Summer finally arrived this weekend with temps in the 80’s and even 90’s. Gosh, it feels good to go outside without a jacket! Or mukluks, considering we had snow just a few weeks ago.
I’m really tired of the long cold Springs we’ve been having the last several years. At least there haven’t been many rainy days.
Fuck, it was 97 in San Fran a few days ago. Of course, yesterday it was ass-cold (like I prefer), and today, even colder, like 55 was the high!
Joe
Yep. I didn’t sleep well last night because it was so hot. I know the weather’s breaking (it was only around 80 when I drove home tonight) but it’s still pretty hot here. I’m seriously considering sleeping outside tonight; only the mosquitos are giving me second thoughts.
It’s supposed to be only 11 degrees Celsius on Wednesday up here. What the heck?
Brrr. We’re well into autumn and it’s still getting up to 18 or so here.
The last few days it has been 39C (102F), with overnight lows of 28C (82F). The sandstorm yesterday didn’t make it any nicer, either!
It was in the 40s when I left for work this morning. I’m good with that.
Supposed to heat up this weekend a little, but still reasonable.
It snowed very close to here on Sunday. We woke up yesterday morning to frost.
That said, it’s been high 50s & sunny most days - lovely weather for most outdoor activities.
I have a feeling it’s going to be a cool summer here this year.
I think we had summer already. The first half of May was glorious - temperatures up to the 80s and wall-to-wall sunshine. Then last week it reverted back to March-like temperatures in the upper 50s with a chilly easterly wind. The sun is out today but it’s still not very warm. Still, it’s meant to get back up to the 70s by the end of the week, for a few days at least.
Low 50s in Cleveland. Where is summer? It’s 10 days till June, for ^%#*@'s sake!
'Twas 39 degrees here this morning. We’ve turned the heat off anyway just because one should never have to have the heat on in the middle of May, not even in Minnesota.
I’m sure this is all Canada’s fault somehow.
It’s supposed to only be 70s-80’s this week. Much better than the 105 of yesterday.
We had a cold, blustry beginning to May, but it seems to have moderated. Very wet, but that’s good for the garden.
They’re calling for sunny and warm this weekend, so I’m off to White Tail. Darling wife and I have already started on the all-over tans and we’re looking forward to some backgammon, laughing, and sunning with good friends.
