Jurassic Park 4 is delayed

It has been a while between films, but not *that *long.

What is wrong with the theropod forearms?

Clearly the frog DNA screwed things up. (or a wizard did it)

I would see it 5 times if they cast Nic Cage as a wacky, talking T-Rex. “My arms are soooooo stubby… good thing I have A HUGE JAW”

Don’t tell me: They’re waiting for George R.R. Martin to polish the screenplay.

San Diego, wasn’t it?

Oh yeah, there was another movie!

everyone always thinks it’s LA even though it’s perfectly clear in the movie it’s San Diego

do people even pay attention to the things they watch

Ironically, I was living in San Diego metro area when the move was released. So I was a little surprised when I saw the San Diego skyline. I actually was trying to figure out what areas T-Rex was romping about, but not enough details were provided.

If it makes you feel any better, PSXer, (paraphrasing A. Whitney Brown) “A cruise missile is better at geography then your typical American citizen.”

Hey, I paid attention! I just didn’t bother looking it up, and I saw it in the theater sixteen freakin’ years ago!! And to those of us on the East Coast, LA, SD, what’s the difference?!

And in terms of Jurassic 4, they’re not still planning on doing the godawful, ridiculous plot of a dino-human hybrid commando team, are they?!

Plus the frog DNA. Don’t forget that.

Of course not.
WTF does frog DNA have to do with…never mind.

Paging** SenorBeef**!

To fill in the gaps in the resequenced dinosaur DNA. Duh.

I believe that is how they changed sex, is it not?

Yeah, but in JP3 the raptors had developed some quills on their necks, and their snouts were closer to true dromaeosaurid form than the previous movies. I figured that maybe the dinos, having been “corrupted” with frog DNA, were beginning to reclaim some of their “true” traits, somehow. How, I have no idea. But then it made no sense for them to use frog dna in the first place.

In the movies (and a lot of old dino books), the arms are held with palms down, in kind of a “begging puppy dog” articulation. Careful study of the anatomy revealed that the dinos would have to pretty much break their wrists to hold their arms that way. The standard configuration would have the palms facing each other, almost in a clapping posture. Here’s a brief summary, though I can also point you to more serious papers on the subject if you’re interested.

As I recall, yes. “Life will find a way.”

Which is the one with the T-Rex on the boat? That one was terrible.

quite disppointing to find out that the raptors in the movie was over exaggerated when I recently found out how big one is, at 40 pounds a cow could have shattered all the bones in the raptors body with one hard kick in the first movie.

But I dident know they were going to make a new movie other than the 3-d remake.

Jurassic Park-King Kong II.

The King kong movie (the more recent one) seemed to have the T rex alot more mobile than the the jurassic park T rex as well. And dident the T rex kill the big spiney fined giant one in the end? Cant remember…I know he killed a smaller T rex.Suprising they dident come out with alot more dinosuar movies, it would be cool to see a replica walking aligator instead of just crocs, lizards and smaller reptiles and such, but competition wise I think some mammals would take out the smaller end of dinos more often, a leopard would be more than a match for a raptor…sheesh even a bob cat, as for the big boys, I think elephants and rhinos can handle a T rex, being that the bulls would most likely group up in herds to attack a Rex and a large pride of lions maybe 30-40 could bring down a T rex, seeing that just 15-20 can for elephants…would be quite intresting to see.

I remember this game for the super nintendo called E.v.o and there was a time period where the dinos was just going extinct and the ice age animals had to contend with the last of the dinos, it was pretty cool in how you’d have to evolve your character, kids probably can learn more from that game than any discovery chanel/animal planet documentary on evolution. lol
