Jurassic Park 4 is delayed

The raptors in the book are Deinonychus which are actually movie size. Taxonomy isn’t something that is alwasy agreed upon, at the time of writing the book some people argued that Deinonychus should be classed as part of the Velocirapotor family. Crichton (and subsequently Spielberg) used one of those writers books as his dinosaur guide when he was writing Jurassic Park.

In the original JP, the raptors were an artist’s mélange of critters, heavily influenced by the recent discovery of Utahraptor, which was much larger than Velociraptor.

Ive heard of the Utharaptor recently and still think a tiger, lion or bear could have taken out one of those sized animals like on Jurassic park…there physiology looks brittle, they can barley get back back up when they fall over…more than enough time to sink a throat bite, and toppled with there stance is quite easlity to knock them over (with all the small hands and all). As for the Velociraptor a leopard, Puma or Jaguar would still be too much, more so a Lynx, Bob cat and Cheetahs range. It would be awesome to see the out come though being they are classed as a differet type of animal more so reptiles, and crocs (if) they can get a hold of the big cats can be devastating, so thats why a raptor would be awesome to see contending with a formidable mammal such as bears and big cats…although a Fighting bull would wreck any Raptor small big or large.

Bah, why are we squabbling about size? Not like it matters when they’re supposed to be feathered, like a more deadly Big Bird.

A bovine bull?

One of my professors in grad school had one put him in the hospital, and when he got out he had it turned into hamburger meat.

Well, mammals were small in those days, but it’s worth noting mammals never challenged dinosaurs at all until outside forces killed the (non-avian) dinos off. So for about 185 million years, mammals were kept under the dinosaurs’ claws, and they never directly defeated them.

hopefully into extinction…the studios have passed the point of a serial salvation with this title

There was a book called Jurassic Park?

There was a period in the Mesozoic era called Jurassic?

No, that was my second marriage.
