Community and Parks were both good, imho. Outsourced was ok. The Office and 30 Rock weren’t great. Couples sucked.
Baldwin is leaving 30 Rock??? I know this is asking for info I don’t want, but…cite?
And also, on a culturally insensitive note, Olivia Munn is Asian? What flavor?
I like Outsourced. I think it’s certainly better than The Office nowadays. It started out a little shaky, but the characters are starting to grow on me. Who would have thought Madhuri could sing?!

Wikipedia says this about Munn:
She is of Chinese descent on her mother’s side (though her mother was raised in Vietnam) and of German-Irish descent on her father’s.
yeah, i’d like to know the gripes about “outsourced” that people have. is it too “indian” ? a lot of the things they poke fun at: the head wobble, the bollywood dancing, the social statuses are all hit very close to home, even amongst Indian-Americans.
or is it just because it’s new and doesn’t have a fistful of stars in the credits?
or is it because it’s judged as a new comedy compared to Community? (arguably the funniest 1st season for a sitcom of the past decade.)
My “gripe” is that it doesn’t make me laugh. Which is a pretty good reason to not watch a comedy.
Late to the game, I know! *Outsourced *is the only reason I stay up ‘late’ on Thursdays, even though I know I can watch it online the next day. I like how they handle the culture conflicts, especially the episode where there was a swastika in the decorations for something. Rajiv gets the best lines, right up there w/ Gupta. Asha’s faded into the background since the beginning and I’m alright w/ them not trying to push a love story into it where it doesn’t need to be. I realize they’re doing so to be rue to the original movie, but it’s not necessary here. Has anyone else noticed the curly-haired actor who seems to be in dark makeup in the non-speaking background lately?
Perfect Couples is perfectly awful; I’ve sat through 2 episodes now and it’s just very very bad.
I have to say that I am delighted with Perfect Couples, because it enables me to make dinner on Thursday nights. Otherwise I would never leave the TV and we would never eat.
I’m glad Outsourced is catching on. I think it deserves a chance. It makes me laugh sometimes, and I like every one of the characters so far, especially quite little Madhuri.
Madhuri’s great and I’d like to see more of her interaction w/ the American played by Diedrich Bader as they’re such polar opposites but w/ similar attitudes.
Heh of course I meant “quiet” little Madhuri. I tried to hard to spell her name right too!
I’ll admit Outsourced is growing on me. I still think they’re relying a bit too much on “India is SO Different!” jokes. Reminds of the first season of That 70’s Show, before they used up most of their 70’s references and realized “Oh crap, we need a real show now.”
