Just another manic Moanday MMP

That’s what I mean FCM, I won’t know until I file next year.
I have a long wait.

Sunny - I think there comes a time when enjoyment of life outweighs longevity.

I found the HS start and end dates, no such luck with college.
I think we should go ahead and submit it, we can fix it later if we need to.

Tonight’s dinner is fend for yourself night.

I’ve filled out lots of apps that require a day. I usually just put the 1st or 31st; never been challenged on it yet. However, for school, put something like the 4th - after Labor Day.

When L-pup got older, she could no longer hop up onto the sofa (or bed). I would help her up, & then sit on the floor petting her, while wondering to myself what was wrong with this picture.

Dept Conservation & Natural Resources

I don’t know about that; three hots & a cot that you don’t need to pay for. No food expense, no heating/housing expense, no decisions on what to wear today. For some people that’s an ideal arrangement.
Fighting w/ xl graphs - all to make a mockup so what I do isn’t really going to be used anyway. Grrrr!

I generally am not crude, but there is always that dropping the soap thing.

Same with me - I’ve always had extra withheld because the stupid gummint calculators leave me owing money at the end of the year. Even with Married no deductions, I still had to have an extra $100/month held back to get us close to breaking even. And now with **FCD **starting this business, I just don’t know…

He wants to go out for supper tonight, but I don’t want to leave the house. I had a very busy day and my brain is fried. I found a small hunk of steak in the freezer - maybe I’ll do something with that for supper.

Tho I’d prefer if supper magically appeared. It’s so hard being me… :stuck_out_tongue:

Home. Tonight is spaghetti night at Chez Butters. Hubby is cooking. I could just go to bed right now without food but he seems to think he needs supper. I am tahred.

The sunbeams have returned from school. Quiet has descended upon the land. For now. Shortly shall arise “what’s for dinner? I hate that. Can we have something else? Well, I hate that.” To be finished with the grand finale, “well, that’s what I’m making, so set the table and sit down.” A perennial favorite, this show plays often. I’m predicting a real barn-raiser tonight.

Yay for OMS feeling better.

I hope that Pooka can be made comfortable.

I blocked 7 hours today to work on my project and got mostly caught up. I should have the presentation finished tomorrow.

Saturday, one of my friends is coming over to set my Roku up again. Sometime in the afternoon, I’ll have coffee with SIL. Sunday will be the annual Superbowl/birthday party at a friend’s house. The game will be on the big screen in the living room, a jam session in the master suite, food in the kitchen, ping pong and air hockey in the garage and, if the weather cooperates, a fire in the firepit out on the patio and a trampoline in the yard for any kids who come. Guess which room I’ll be hanging out in mostly? :stuck_out_tongue:

Sunny, I like your term “sunbeams.”

Still sick. Trying to rest up a bit today and tomorrow, then the next day is Saturday when I have a rehearsal.

I forgot to ask what you will be playing.

Raining and cold (down to 39F and dropping). Attended the local AYSO Soccer Board meeting and ended up with the job of recruiting and training new 8U referees for the fall. Can’t really complain since I lobbied for the job and wrote a 3-page plan of action, but now I’ve got to do some work (bah!).

2 out of three Utility bills paid (water and electric; gas comes later (and yes spidey/flytrap/ruble, I knows what I said)). Out side of that a relatively quiet day.

To all canines and felines, get to feeling better (and I guess your humans should also be well…). Midget, take care of yourself.

My Dad used to work w/ a woman; when he’d run out for lunch he’d ask her if she wanted anything. Her response was always the same, “Just get me what you’re getting.”
This ticked him off to no end. Finally one day he got really fed up & when she said, “Just get me what you’re getting.”
He responded with, “I’m getting lox & jelly…on white bread.” (which was the most disgusting combo he could think of)

Never again did she utter, “Just get me what you’re getting.”
I miss him! :frowning:

Canes sweep the habs!(Sorry Midget*

Feel better, and good luck!

Well, FCM, we have several areas which we claim in Merrylande…first, the dear Mrs. Walter White hails from East Bawlmer, she attended Patterson HS and graduated in 1981…both of us were born in John Hopkins…I was born in the Homeland area of Bawlmer, moved as a child to Lutherville, then a couple of years later to north Bawlmer County to an area called Monkton and attended Baltimore Friends School on Charles Street…

The dear Mrs. Walter White and my first home together was literally two blocks south of Parkville just over the Bawlmer City line, so we certainly tread the same ground…

My remaining family (Mother, sister and BIL) all live just north of Loch Raven in Glen Arm, my wife’s surviving family (two brothers) up-rooted and moved to AZ…we still have many friends and connections in and around Bawlmer and visit once or twice a year…

St. Mary’s is a beautiful area, all of the Chesapeake Bay is beautiful, my grandmother lived on the other side in Easton for years…

I don’t know if you’re a Seinfeld fan, the wife and I are, we still laugh when Elaine’s boss calls it, “TOE-son”, she says, “It’s Towson…”

Awesome…what time should we show up the next time you make that?

Speaking of selling things for drug money, Laura’s roommate has sold her (the roommate’s) TV to her mother, meaning that even when Laura picks up the XBox on her way home tonight, she won’t have anything to play it on for a little while. Laura’s roommate has promised to replace it with a nicer TV when she gets her tax rebate.

And, of course, Laura will have to find a new roommate; she can’t afford this place by herself.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 54 Amurrkin out and rainy. That will be the high for the day. Rain is supposed to go away this mornin’ and ‘twill be cloudy the rest of the day. More rain comin’ in Sattidy night and Sunday. We shall see. I shall attend a brunch thingy around elevenish this mornin’. Other than that no other big plans for the day. We shall sup upon majik intartoobz pizza.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I should purtify bein’ as I am to go about the public.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Mornin’ all.

Week one of irk experience completed; lotsa cleaning things, hacking at a hedge, plus some interesting stuff mixed in, but I think they save up the big boring job for when they have students in so they have extra bodies.

Swapped days at my paid job for tomorrow, so’s I could have today off, which was good planning, 'cos I’m knackered. Doing unfamiliar stuff is always tiring. Bit covered in bruises and scratches as well, and I have some sort of a cold thing, but no-one got any proper injuries, so that’s good.

Got quite a bit of stuff to do today, but very little inclination to do it. I shall do some later, depending on the weather.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Short day, then laundromat, then hockey.

Thursday 2 weeks from no(lotta hockey this month)

Flipper, that’s messed up.

Holy crap, Walter, we really were practically neighbors. My maternal grandparents lived on Register St (off Gough and Broadway) for many years, then moved to S. Ellwood - about 3 blocks from Patterson Park. My youngest sis lived there till she had to get her knee replaced and couldn’t handle living alone any more. My paternal grandparents lived on Cambridge and their house backed on Boston St - 2 doors away from Sip-n-Bite (or Slurp-n-Burp, if you prefer.) My bro lives in Timonium, another sis is in Linthicum, and my mom and the other sis are not too far from Jarretsville. And my dad, grandparents, and a mess of aunts and uncles are buried in Dundalk. Small world…

Terrible night last night. I woke at least 4 times. I came home with a nasty stiff neck and it was almost impossible to get comfortable. I foresee a long day. And tylenol for breakfast.

In honor of Ground hog day, I’m having a sausage biscuit!

Happy Firday!!!

Quite common, yes; I’ve worked in companies where they started asking several months in advance of each batch of students “please come up with stuff for the trainees!” The idea is to choose tasks which aren’t urgent, are relatively easy, and while likely to be pretty repetitive still give people a good idea of what’s involved in the job.
