Just another manic Moanday MMP

Worked, came home. Making chipotle chicken with potato wedges and corn, beans, and tomatoes with jalapenos.

Not like he’s gotta be awake for the 2:00p.m. conference call. And glad Attila is a little better.

Bumba, glad OMS didn’t have a more serous problem.
And Key West is international. It’s part of The Conch Republic.

For now the vet has him on K/D Science Diet. I have a can of soft food, of the same prescription, for trying to get the pills down him, and maybe I can also use that to mix the powdered medication in.

Try the following funny link on giving a cat a pill

DH and I tried those. He thought they were interesting (but a bit overpriced for the serving size), I thought they were OK-ish.

You know your job sucks when a convenience store sounds like a better employer.

Close but no cigar ---------- and these ones we even sell!!!

Serving size could have been better but I got them with the current 5 buck box. Overall it beat McDonalds or self-abuse.

And there have been days at Da Jungle when learning to say “would you like fries with that” hasn’t sounded like that bad a career move. So why did I sign up not just for a double Sunday but a triple? And stock cold sober when I did it? I blame it on senior dementia setting in. :smack:

A triple?! Good lord. If it wasn’t dementia before, it might be after.

My Maryland Terrapins keep losing, ugh, like FCM, Mrs. Walter White and I are from dear ole Merrylande…and I have managed to go an entire week without ice skating in the parking lot…no guarantees for the next seven days…come on spring…

Although, I must say, we’ve been in upstate NY since '99 (still O’s, Ravens and Terp fans), it’s a good quality of life and we live in a really nice area…even though it’s suburban, it’s close to rural, and this last week, before the sun rose, I could eat my breakfast and watch the deer walk out of the back woods and head through my yard to the woods across the street…

Actually I have to clock out at 11:59 --------- we’re not allowed to go over 12 hours in any given day. HR has made that very clear by promoting a couple offenders to the lofty rank of customer.

My expectations are that they are making much ado about not much. Yes – its the Super Bowl but Pittsburgh isn’t in it. The major interest is seeing what James Harrison does and/or wanting to see some Eagle snap him in half. And yes there is some real snow predicted but this far out it could be nothing much. I suspect one or more to be a “three and out” (three hour shift) with yours truly getting a chance to nap in his car until he clocks back in. But one of my favorite bosses is working that say so what the heck – you only live once.

Since after the Zombie Apocalypse technically you are dead

PS — horrible toe cramp and amusing myself reading through some Pit threads.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 34 Amurrkin and clear out with a predicted high of 68 and N.O.S. for the day. Not a whole lot on the agenda today. I shall make a trip to the liberry and find things to watch on Netflix. Suppage will be a mix of leftovers since they need to be et and we don’t mind leftovers. Tonight is the Celebration of New Ministry for our new Priest. OK, he’s been there since October but the CNM is tonight I presume cause this is a day when we could get the Episcopal Bishop and the ELCA Bishop here at the same time. I referred to the last Priest as YP but this one is even younger so perhaps I should call him EYP (Even Younger Priest). Seriously he is 30 years old. A mere child!

CupCakes I typically arise between five and six a.m. eastern time. Sometimes I go in sloth mode and sleep until seven. It’s a lifetime early riser thing I reckon. Then again I am ready to be tucked in and read a bedtime story between nine and ten p.m. Glad Attila is on the mend.

Bumba glad OMS is on the mend as well.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should purtify so as to look good at the liberry.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

**Walter **- what part of Merrylande do you claim? I spent my formative years just blocks from the Towson/Parkville dividing line. My family is all still within the metro Baltimore area, but spousal unit and I have settled in St. Mary’s county among the Amish. OK, not among, but we see them a lot and buy their produce.

Mild day promised today, then winter returns.

Happy First of Febby-airy (as a former boss used to call it.) And Happy Thursday. And for me, Happy Payday!!!

Up ,caffeinated, and sheveled ,off to work. Hockey after work. And today is my Firday.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s a not so chilly 37 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 48 and be rainy.

I managed to sleep unrtil 7 this morning. I woke up once at 3:30 but I was able to get back to sleep, so I don’t feel too bad.

The plan is to go to the college today so Sah-son can talk to an advisor.
It has to be today because it’s going to get cold again and who wants to go out into the cold if they don’t have to?

Happy Thorsday. Got a few more dollars in my Retirement check, probably due to the new tax laws. It’ll be just about enough to cover Medicare Part B when I sign up for it this month.

53F right now, which is about as high as the temperature gets today, then rain and a cooling front come in this afternoon and get us back in the 20’s-30’s. Oh joy.

All y’all take care.

blurf Back from the Dr. where I had blood drawn and a overall poke and prod. I still have to go to the horsepistol for a chest xray. But for now it is the first of the month and I have a ton of stuff to do.

Happy new month.

**MetalMouse **- I checked my annuity statement, and my retirement pay is going up due to taxes going down and our vision and dental insurance premiums going down. It was a nice surprise.

Unless the the reduced tax withholdings mean I’ll end up having to pay next year - that’ll piss me off big time!!!

Lunch is almost over. I brought my tablet and read - it was nice. But it’s time to get back to work. dammit.

Loooooong morning of dealing with DCNR stuff. I think I may ask to be assigned to some solo unloading of some trailers of big oversized boxes ---- I could use some alone time.

No visit to the college necessary. However, we are filling out applications for hmi to transfer.
Big*** PITA*** that is because they want dates that include days.
HTF do we know what day he started HS. We know the month and year, but the DAY!!!
Maybe we can google it.
And does it count as attending college if you got credits in HS?
Everuthing is filled out but that.
He is applying to Frostburg State, I don’t know if anywhere else.
I guess he should in case Frostburg doesn’t like him for some reason.

I have got the laziest dog.
Whenever he wants up on the couch with me he puts his front paws up and expects me to pick him up. He can jump up but he’d rather not. Not a big deal for that.
Now he wants to lay on the loveseat, and he can get up by himself, except he will put his front paws up and turn at look at me to help him up. If he thinks for one second I am going to get up and walk across the room to pick him up he is out of his mind.

Big pile of mail at the door today. Most of the tax stuff is here.
Not all of it yet.
I have no idea how the tax cuts are going to affect me as I get a 1099 and nothing is taken out of my check.
I won’t knwo anything until I file.

I feel I should know what “DCNR” means, but I do not. Sorry the morning has been aggravating, Ruble.

It has been a slothful morning. I accomplished 2 car registrations yesterday, with spousal help, and used up extra spoons. I would like to accomplish more adulting today, but it may have to wait until tomorrow. In the meantime, I have 2 small dogs to cuddle with, and 2 more large dogs snoring on the floor. Apparently, I am the dog nanny.

In Pooka Bear news, he has been absolutely miserable with his arthritis, and the vet has been unwilling to change his meds to to something stronger. He can’t use his old meds, which worked, because his liver values aren’t great. Yesterday I found an old bottle with some of those left, and I’ve been giving him those. He so much more comfortable. I understand that it might hurt his liver, but I can’t stand to see him in pain. I don’t understand what is so hard about keeping him comfortable. If I can’t get to an agreement with this vet, I will call the owner of the clinic. I was one of his first clients 10 years ago. At least I’ll have the satisfaction of giving him an earful about end of life care for elderly animals, but I think he’ll see things my way.

Tomorrow is Groundhog Day, yes? We’re starting to see shoots coming up, and a few geese heading North. Winter won’t last forever.

There is one here, and I get here before sun up…perhaps I could bribe him. Do groundhogs drink coffee, or eat doughnuts?

**sari **- tax cuts don’t affect 2017 taxes - they start this year.

Our plan this weekend is to make sure we have all of our tax documents and get everything to the accountant on Moanday. Since **FCD **has a lot of business-related expenses and such and I don’t know how to deal with that, we’re paying an accountant. It’s cheaper than going to jail…

Busy afternoon but day is wrapping up. Now, what to do for supper? There are no leftovers from yesterday, alas. Maybe I’ll just do grilled cheese?

Words to live by.
