Just Because I Can... Starting The MMP Early

Not really. Seeing other people suffer doesn’t make me happy.
It just makes me smile a little bit :stuck_out_tongue:

Missed me! You need to aim South of Europe to hit me

Don Wanna is hanging around Cubeville.

He’ll still be around when I get home tonight, to make sure I don’t put new blades on the mower, which is a long and involved process. I got only about 1/4 of the yard done Sunday, and that’s being generous; it rained all day yesterday, so it’s beginning to resemble the Amazon Rain Forest.

I’ve now identified all of the cats in our house, the 2 permanent ones and the 3 fosters, as card-carrying members of TVCTPMO. When I went outside to go to work, the little bastiges had knocked a screen out of a window, and were frolicking in the yard. They may be faster than me, but none of them can outrun Winchester…

:waves back at Haze:

I’ve just been to hear my boss deliver her introductory lecture on the two modules she teaches (that I do teaching support for) - I have decided that 3rd year med students do too much talking and not enough listening. I shall wait for the deluge of stoopit questions about how to do their research projects, and respond to each one with “RTFM”.

Excuse me, I have a 5-day trip to Noo Yawk to plan.

Hey, y’all!

Is that just a Texas convention? Saying “hey” instead of “hi?” I do it all the time.

Back at work, with nothing to do. <yawn>

Don Wanna is hanging around here too. I should really be working, but I am sick of hitting the door running, and going 90 MPH all damn day.

I guess the silver lining is that I finally have my own office. Not that it matters much today, I’m the only one here for my section.

Well, I guess I better earn my paycheck…sigh. I really, really, really don’t want to be here.

Blurf. This is my Saturday. I should do some housework, but I’m quite sure I won’t.

We do it in Arkansas, and it is in the dialogue of To Kill a Mockingbird.

I feel your pain mmmmmmmms. Forecast time is Not Fun around here. Fortunately, this upcoming one (starting in late Nov since our fiscal year runs Feb-Jan) should be my last: they’re hiring a couple analysts for the forecast manager so they’ll get to have all the fun instead of me.

I don’t really want to be here either. I’m running low on short-term, tight-deadline projects and just have big-assed, long-term projects to work on. I’m not a fan of long-term.

Don Juana here too. Been productive and stuff already (walked for 2 hours, bought some stuff I needed, did some more translation, explained to the agent I’m working for how google docs works), don’t much feel like working no mo’…

I am here.

That is all.
Bask in the splendor of me.

Busy day - 4 count 'em 4 conference calls

I currently have 5 spreadsheets open maninpulating data from 4 of them to put into Monster Sheet aka Number 5!

I got so annoyed with my laptop this morning I walked up to IT on the 7th Executive floor and told them to fix what ever bug had got up Outlooks ass as it was causing everything else to lock up OR I was pitching it off the balcony.

(Laptop had a meltdown just before I went on vacation so the standard answer round here is ‘re-image it’. They did. It still isn’t right as they hadn’t reloaded the back up system which the helpdesk did yesterday afternoon then the PTB pushed some update out yesterday afternoon which caused the reloaded backup system to take a huge dump yesterday and then the Live Meeting update that was also pushed to Outlook last night pretty much shit)

That much I deduced on my own - the nice IT intern gently prised the laptop out of my hands changed some settings in Exchange, re-added me to the network, re-booted and I have been relatively pain free ever since and no laptops were harmed by being flung off the balcony.

Forecast…forecast…forecast…I am an engineer why am I dealing with this rubbish!

I’m going to lose about a third of my paycheck this week because I’ve been sent home early the last two days and I’ll be sent home tonight as well. It’s been that damn slow.

It got chilly up here this morning. I may have to make a trip down to my dad’s to do some seasonal clothes switching next week.

Rebo, we say “hey” in North By-God Kakalak all the time.

rosie’s sig to all!

 mbg, shine on, bro. I got my shades on.

We say hey here in Flawduh, too. Hey!

Boy, that Don Juana girl gets around, doesn’t she?

My company’s Mexican clients just can’t cut a break. First we have the downturn in the economy, then we have the drug wars, then swine flu and now Hurricane Jimena. This will not end well.

I have read all and retained little but appropriate yays, boos, attaboys, etc. as needed.

Tupug

Why would one ruin perfectly lovely chocolate by pairing it with peppers? So wrong on so many levels…

Hey, there, BusDude! Bet things are hopping in your life, huh?

Our super-hot-gotta-get-posted-by-Aug-31 project still wasn’t posted by the time I left. My part was done last week, but others are less efficient, apparently. So I’ve been helping the project lead by doing some random editing and uploading. Makes for a long, dull day.

Two down, 3 to go, with a long weekend ahead. So there’s that.

I have 25 more minutes of wearing this frigging monitor and I cannot wait to rip it off my body. I’m not even sure if it’s been recording accurately since the display changed at 1900 last night and never went back to a rhythm. I know I’m not dead (merely resting).

It’s been a gorgeous day here–I do love early fall. I got tons done, but am getting more and more nervous about tomorrow. I am THE librarian now–and am not sure where to start re the mess the old one is leaving behind. She is a great information specialist, but horribly disorganized. I’m not sure just how to climb this mountain. Gah.
I’m hungry and it’s only 3:38. Chicken and rice for dinner tonight. Last night was pork roast and baked N.O.T.s. Salad with both meals, since we bought too much lettuce.

And that’s enough info for now.

Blurf. Something disagreed with my stomach at lunch. Not throw-up-iness, just stomach discomfort. But it’s damned uncomfortable. Manager said I could leave early, but I haven’t put in nearly enough hours to justify leaving at noon on Firday so I want to stay until 5 if I can. But blurf.

TMI! TMI on the MMP!

what else is new?

Hopefully the TMI is not ON the MMP…
Eww!

Dear Mr. Flytrap: You have not seen TMI until you’ve read lots of MMP. swampy is our resident champion, but there are a number of us who are…adept at the art of TMI.

I’ve read everything else, but am in a rush and need to borrow rosie’s sig for the moment.

Most exciting news is that I’m on vacation starting Thursday a.m. and am working on a mini-MMP-fest. Shhhhh, don’t tell anyone.

Off to find food and make a list of what I need to do.

Hugs.
