Well, I wouldn’t say just a condom as condoms fail a lot of the time, but if you are making sure that no pregnancy will occur I suppose it’s no one’s place to say what two consenting people are allowed to do.

And because they believe, erroneously, that the rules are sacred they(a) never question that the rules might actually be hurtful to other people, and (b) never think there might be a need for other rules. Like ones stopping the Believers in Biblical law from forcing Biblical law on those who don’t believe in the primacy of Biblical law.
For instance, the First amendment to the United States Constitution.
Because the Believers in Biblical law believe the sacred RULES are more important than that.
So they don’t see a contradiction in, say, being patriotic, and demanding Biblical Law be enacted, even though that’s not consistent with the U.S. Constitution.
