Have fun in that federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison you’re going to. All that noble speech and righteous indignation, and all along you were just a common criminal and a liar. Fuck you.
That should be DeLay, if a mod can fix it. crap

Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!
Eight years after the crime and five years after his indictment, he is convicted, long after the damage he caused to the democratic process in Texas has been institutionalized. He faces life in prison. I hope he gets it.
Another patriot destroyed by the liberal media!
-Joe
Wow. He faces seven years to life (or five to life, if they allow concurrent sentences). I’ll be interested to see what he gets and what he actually serves. I am glad that he’s going to jail, though I don’t think that what he’s convicted of is really his most egregious wrong.
The judge he smiled when he picked up his pen
Ninety-nine years in the Huntsville pen
Ninety-nine years underneath that ground
But I can’t forget the day I spread that money around
(with apologies to George Thorogood)
Well, we can dream anyway. Maybe a sentence of a couple years with part suspended for poor, poor martyred Tom.
I smell… something on the wind, something familiar? Yes, an attempt at moral equivalence… the mention of a Democrat who also did something bad once… the footsteps approach!
Traficant!!
James Trafficant.
Whew, glad we got that outta the way.
Damn you.
Is there any chance, any chance at all, of dropping this ridiculous meme?
Well, he won’t, even if he actually gets some time. Which I doubt. The case is now in the Texas Justice System, it will wander the halls of appeal, and appeals of denied appeals, and, sooner or later, a way will be found to cut him loose.
Forget it, Jake. Its Texas.
I’ve been waiting for a “this is old news, who cares?”
Why no. . .no there isn’t.
Of course it should be Federal- pound that jerk we don’t like in the ass- prison. If Chefguy wants to get pounded in the ass because DeLay goes to prison, well that’s his thing.
Why would it be a federal prison? he was convicted in state court of breaching a Texas law, wasn’t he?
Nitpick: state pound-me-in-the-ass prison. DeLay was prosecuted by the Travis County District Attorney on state law violations.
ETA - Re: Northern Piper, yes.
What I’ve been waiting for is the shock, the revulsion, the disgust that we send marginally criminal people to factories for manufacturing sociopaths. We think its funny. There are any number of people who deserve to go to prison. That does not mean they deserve to go to Hell. Without proportionality, justice is mere vengeance.
The sadistic irony of it is that those who least destructive and dangerous suffer far out of proportion to their crimes, the worst, the true monsters, thrive in prison.
Either is fine with me.
Sure.
But don’t drop the meme in the shower.
I look forward to Tom’s debut as a paid FoxNews commentator. And also his radio show. We all owe Ollie North a huge debt.
