In fact, I’m so tired of all the talk about the new boards, and how badly Ed fucked up, and why people are leaving, and all the rest of it that I’m going to go and start a whole new thread about it!

I keep asking this, but can’t get an answer: how does it help to clear the board of folks whining about the rule changes if so many people keep whining about the whiners! Geez, the only thing more annoying than folks whining and simpering is people whining and simpering over the original whiners all the while trying to act above it all. The board is huge; stop going in About This Message Board where people are talking about this message board.
You are so right! I’m going to start a one new board only for people whining about the whiners, another for people who don’t want to whine about the whiners, and a third for people who are so upset about one or the other groups that they want to set up a new board.
Nice try. I have just opened a board for people that respond to posts about people that are annoyed with people that whine about whiners. Membership is already 2000 deep.
ETA: For the record, in all seriousness, I don’t really mind being annoyed. It is one of the things I actually like about this board, people’s ability to get me all worked up. But let’s not kid ourselves, like it or hate it, whiners are annoying.
This is always one of my favorite claims. How do you go about shouting down someone on a message board? They can’t even interrupt you unless the are a mod.

To be fair, this is the first thread I’ve seen of people complaining about the complainers. If they can bitch, so can I! 
I’m starting to get a little confused about this whole thing. People really are leaving, and not just the drama queens (cough Lib cough), but actual sensible fully functional humans too. I’m not going anywhere, but now that there’s an actual exodus instead of just the usual threats of one, I am saddened.

QED, I’m not talking only about your response to me, I’m talking in general – I haven’t seen a post from you in months (not that I’ve been making an effort to follow all of your posts) that hasn’t had some serious anger underlying it.
As to whether or not I should be allowed to tell two pissed off people to fuck off – I named them as exemplars of a small but vocal group of people who are so utterly outraged by everything that’s happened over the last (whenever – has it really only been a week or two?) that they don’t see anything to be redeemed from the botch that has been made of things – but they continue to stick around and comment on every additional post. Why? Seriously, why – if things are so totally unacceptable to you about everything that happens here, why don’t you just leave? What purpose is served by your wandering around looking for things to be pissed off about?
