Just got back from the Marine Corps Birthday Ball

Oh man, Marines are fun to party with. I need to get in on more of these things in the future.:smiley: Was an interesting experience being the only guy there in Air Force semi-formal in a sea of Marine dress blues. Ran into girls from all of the services, but I was evidently the only non-Marine guy who got to go.

Got a cool USMC challenge coin and a coaster, the coin being a very awesome addition to my collection.

I’m waiting to see what my sergeants say whenever they inspect my dorm room and see the little Marine Corps flag centerpiece my female Marine friend reconned for me from the table.:cool:

Glad you had fun!

We had tickets to the one here in Bangkok (it was the day after Halloween) but were both feeling burned out and decided to make a spur-of-the-moment trip to Krabi, so we skipped it. I haven’t been to one and hope to go to next year’s.

(ETA: neither my husband or I has any affiliation to any of the armed services-- but the ball here is a big event that a LOT of people go to. Even the tailor used by most of the US Embassy community here usually attends.)
