I’ve never seen a thread like this one so I’m not sure if I’m starting it in the right place. My sincerest apologies if it needs moved.
When I was a teenager, my parents went to Washington D.C. to see the Vietnam Veterans memorial. They stayed with a cousin–I can’t remember if he was my mom’s or dad’s cousin. It was in the 80s.
Fast forward 15-20 years…Over the course of my several years here (yeah, I know. My post count is really low. I gotta get that up.) I’ve read posts wherein a doper revealed things about himself irl that sounded like he might be that cousin. Alas, I can’t remember who it is. It was one of those things that I’ve just kind of pieced together.
So, here’s a description as near as I can recall: He lives in the Washington D.C. area, IIRC has a user name similar to my maiden name (Motto…vaguely Italian), and has 2 brothers (and maybe 2 sons? that’s kind of fuzzy…). Those things also apply to my mom’s/dad’s cousin.
So, if you, dear doper, fit this description (even somewhat, because some of my details might not be right) please check in. If you prefer to remain anonymous, that’s fine. I understand. I just think it would be pretty cool to find out you’re related to someone who frequents the same online community. I know there are brothers/sisters, etc on the SDMB. I mean to accidentally bump into someone who’s a relative.
