Just saw Bob Newhart's road show: hilarious!

Just saw Bob Newhart’s road show in Huntsville, AL with a sellout (or close to it) crowd.

It was hilarious! The guy is like 75 years old or so, and he was jumping around on stage like he was 25, and his timing is still spot on.

He did about an hour and a half worth of material after Annie Selleck opened for him, a cool jazzy vocalist, really putting us in a nightcluby sort of mood, sort of like the atmosphere he began his standup act in he said.

Anywho, well worth it for any Bob Newhart fans out there, catch him while you can I say!

He’s got a guest spot coming up on Desperate Housewives. From his Web site:

Bob will appear in several episodes of ABC’s series “Desperate Housewives”. The episode, entitled “Children Will Leave” is set to be filmed this week, and will feature Bob as Morty, the estranged ex-boyfriend of Susan Mayer’s mother Sophie. Susan Mayer is played by Terri Hatcher and her mother will be played by Leslie Ann Warren.
