Just what kind of geek are you?

Well …how geeky are ya?

I’m only 24% geek…a good thing by my way of thinking…

26%?

Hmm.

I am extremely geeky but not in any way hit on by that test. I suspect it’s less a “are you a geek” test than an “are you the guy who write this test?” test.

I read comic books, collect Star Wars figures, have a bunch of robot toys, play computer games, play PlayStation, play Role-Playing Games, own many Magic cards, enjoy Doctor Who and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, have memorized Star Wars, listen to computer game soundtracks on mp3 at work, read pop-science and pop-math books for my fiction reading and pop-fantasy and pop-scifi for my non-fiction reading, and have been known to wear t-shirts with Boba Fett and the Starman logo on them to work.

Do you think I’m a geek? The test gave me 17%.

17%… should I be pleased or displeased?

Hmmm…

Ugh, 12%. This must mean I have a life. Who’da thunk it?

44%! BOO-YEAH! Wait, is a high score good or bad?

3y3 4m w47ch1ng j00!

7%, I didn’t even understand half the fuckin’ questions. I spend a lot of time outdoors or in a gym. This may explain my non-geek, low annual income level also! I work for eight hours a day in front of computers, but when it’s quitting time, that’s it for me.

C’mon, beach volleyball or Linux? Is that really a hard choice?

17%…apparantly I am spat upon by true geeks for not being geeky enough, while I am still not quite yet cool enough for membership in the John Stamos Society. I am in the limbo between geekdom and coolness…the horror…

According to GrizzWife, I’m a “wood” geek.

Inaddition to being a “strong-man big tough guy”, I’m also a Norm Abramson wannabe. Love working with wood and I just can’t amass enough tools!

We’ll be walking through a flea market/furniture store/antique shop/etc, and I’ll be heard to say something like…
“I certainly wouldn’t have used a simple rabbet joint for that drawer frame. A through-dovetail would have been more attractive AND much stronger! And can you believe the poor quality of that tabletop? A little time spent with a well tuned plane and a cabinet scraper would have made ALL the difference!”

GrizzWife usually says “”

22%. I think having a love of Monty Python, having once owned my own domain, and being a fan of Tolkein are what did it. I didn’t -understand- many of the other computer-related questions

And by the way. What good is a geek who can’t spell? “writting” an online test? twitchshudder

71%. I’m actually in shock.

I got a 48%. This is really more to do with computer-geek than your generic-geek.

And my score would have been lower if I wasn’t porting software to OS/2.

20% geek here. Apparently I’m only a wanna be geek who needs to hang out in my underwear more often or something. Guess I’ll go put on some underpants. (What’s more geeky, on my head or my ass?)

56%. I can’t decide whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.

BTW, the Wolvie/Spiderman question just begs to be discussed further. Which version of each? Canon or non-canon? Is Venom a consideration? Which Earth? Admantium or no?

Jesus, looking at that part, I think my score should be higher.

24% not as geeky as I thought. :frowning:

Head, definitely. Didn’t you see Sixteen Candles or Weird Science?

21% geek here. Seems low, but as I don’t install Linux for fun, maybe it’s accurate after all.

I’m only 10%. Yay!

30% myself… never read Tolkien (beyond the Hobbit) and never argued about Spiderman and Wolverine (Wolverine hands down. I don’t care what anyone else says.)

I’m 9% geek, so only Bluepony can pick on me.

Hey, quit pushing! Give me my lunch money back, you jerk!

15% here. But that’s only because I like Monty Python and Wolverine. I know nothing about computers. Who’s Linus?
