Just what kind of geek are you?

22%

And Wolverine would be eating Spidey Strips tartare inside of five minutes.

26%. Hmmm…

I was such a loner in H.S. that I probably would’ve been a geek if I would have tried. But really, the only work I do in computers is when I work on it for school and that I spend to much damn time on the Internet that I get in trouble. Oh, and I like history…but don’t think that will be my major. And I have friends, but you know…I um…don’t know how great at socializing I really am.

(And I don’t know why I am so geeky according to this test. I do maybe 3 things…hrmmm…maybe I should just retake it. I know I am dorky and goofy, but they didn’t ask that. They asked if I am geeky. Is there a dork test? Maybe that could be where the other stuff is hidden.)

34% … I blame the boys

64%

This ludicrously low percentage is no doubt due to the fact that I despise warez d00dz and hate 133t speak (and the fact that I’ll take sex over computers any day  ).

52%.

It would be off the scale, but I’ve got a wife, a life, and I think l33+ 5p33k and Warze are for poseurs.

Holy cow! 66% geek? I’ve really got to get out more. lol

16% here. So I’ve read LotR and know a camgirl. Sheesh. No to all the rest of the questions.

17%…

What I answered “Yes” to:

I have a boyfriend. [Traditional definitions would lead me to believe this should lower my Geek Rating.]
I have Holly Grail nearly memorized.
I’ve gone more than three days without a shower [it’s called college and art school].

I’ve read LOTR only once… And I’m with Ferrous, Wolverine would kick Spidy’s butt.

And this qualifies we as 17%?? Now, if there’d been a question asking “Do you at least recognize the terms in 90% of the questions” then I would have a rating 80%-90%…

[sub] someone please shoot me for doing that…

50% geek. Not bad! I think I lost points for actually having a girlfriend, actually having had sex, and never having read Tolkien or being into comic books. Back in high school I probably could have scored higher.

Oh, and I only wish I knew some cam girls.

34% I’m disappointed

Of course, the obvious fallacy is assuming the attribute of relative geekyness is a well ordered set. That is to say while the mapping onto the real line of the geekyness attribute is well ordered, there is no reason to think the image of the attribute in “geek-space” is itself well ordered.

To put it another way, the funtion which maps geekyness to the real line may not be bijective or even surjective.

Does this raise my score?

44%.

I’m actually surprised. I considered myself very geeky before going in, read the questoins, and figured I would be less geeky. I understood the computer questions, but answered no to most. I thought after answering I would rate in the 20’s.

Hmm…it was probably owning 3 computers, the domain name, and the software porting.

Actually, I swallow swords. I used to bite the heads off of chickens, but I…

<looks more carefully, follows link>

Oh! You meant that type of geek. Well, I rated at 36%, even though I know jack about networks and l33t. I’ve read LOTR at least 4 times, have MPATHG memorized, and Logan shreds Petey any day of the week. Booyah!

I got 92%!!

(by cheating, of course :D)

Obviously it’s not geeky enough to think that Ween kicks ass.

(when I did the test properly, I got 52%)

61%

I’m geekier than I thought. Didn’t think I’d break 50%, especially since I answered no to everything having to do with l33t5peak and web-cam girls, plus I didn’t have any terminals open and no one is insane enough to give me root access to anything.

For the record, I am not a virgin, so that wasn’t it either, smartypants.

36%.

It would be higher if I had more computers at home (I’m working on that,) and if I didn’t despise l33t speak.

Only 11%

Where did I go wrong?

30%, that would be like me , alright

Only 23% geek. I figured it’d be a bit higher than that but no complaints.
