I don’t think I really understood the questions.
I’ve read LOTR more than once, and have large portions of MP&HG basically memorized. That seemed to be my sole geekiness, by their standards.
Oddly enough, answering Yes to “Have actually met (in-person) a web-cam girl you think you know?” (I know OpalCat, who has a live WebCam), seemed to lower my score - when I changed that to a ‘no’, just to see what effect it had, I went up to 10%.
Another one: changing “Drink much?”, a judgment call if there ever was one, from ‘yes’ to ‘no’ took me from 6% up to 10%. Since I’m a social drinker, but not a heavy drinker, perhaps I really am about 8% geek.
In answer to the thread title, “Just what kind of geek are you?”, I’m a math geek.
The geek test had a blind spot in that direction, so I snuck underneath its radar.
I’m 1% geek. I didn’t even understand half the questions, but I uh… well… chicks with webcams are cool.
31% geek. Just about right, I think.
I scored a 29% but I think that’s too high. It’s geared too much to computer users and my days of building linux boxes 'til the hookers go home are long gone. Nowadays, at the end of the workday, I ignore my computer. I’d rather read or play playstation games. And I have always despised leet speak.
Geeze…I’m 31%!
I guess that makes me one of the geekiest to have posted so far…without cheating thanks!

Feel good SMUsax, I’m 32% geek.
And proud of it.
I’d prefer the term nerd though.
It sounds better.
Come work for my company. We apparently give root to any damn fool who asks.
34% geek. Really, the catergories are too narrow for me - I’m not a real computer-tech-type geek. More of a social sciences and arts geek. And I’ve only read The Hobbit once, but if I break out of this small town, I’ll pick it up again.
I AM 36% GEEK.
I probably work in computers, or a history
deptartment at a college. I never really
fit in with the “normal” crowd. But I have
friends, and this is a good thing.
This was my test score. That resembles me…

I’m also 36% geek.
And I say that it depends where Wolvie and Spider-Man are fighting. Empty field, Spiderman’s breathing air directly into his lungs. In the middle of NYC, Spidey hangs from the side of a building and eventually asphyxiates Wolvie w/ webbing.

Geek with social skills. Yep, OK, it’s a fair cop guv. Senior Analysts are expected to be able to talk to other staff… and occasionally even real customer-type people.
28% geek rating here…
It posted the same description as BoiToi (and a few other people had), the “probably work with computers…” thing,
which in this case is true.
7% geek…and that’s only because I don’t drink much, only because I end up praying to the porceline gods after a mere WHIFF of alchohol…now if my boyfriend would take the quiz, i’m sure we’d get the remaining 93%…it’s all about balance…
Apparently thinking that Spiderman can beat Wolverine makes you geekier by +4%. I suppose that’s because only geeks like Spiderman.
Though I’d think that even geeks would admit Spidey would have no chance.
22% geek. I’m not very enthusiastic about computers any more, I guess it comes from working with them for the last 6 years or so. If I still had the attitudes I did back when I was 11-13 or so I probably would have scored a lot higher.
Allright, he only scored a 12%, funny thing is, i’m somewhat dissapointed…
