That was my favorite part. It’s a huge step up from the old Justice League episode where he had trouble catching up with a truck. Flash is one of the most powerful characters they have.
Michael Rosenbaum (who does Flash’s voice and just happens to play Lex Luthor on Smallville) and Clancy Brown (who does Luthor’s voice) had a LOT of fun with this episode. I laughed several times, which is more than I can say for many supposedly “funny” cartoons. Juliet Landau also had her most lines to date in an episode, vamping it up as Tala. I love how it was strongly implied that Flash, in Luthor’s body, performed oral sex on Tala, something they made it seem like Lex would never “lower himself” to do.
So how ethical is it for Flash to use Luthor’s body to foll around with Tala? I realize Luthor and Tala have a prior relationship, and she came on to him, but if your mind is in someone’s body, do you just get a free pass to do whatever? I guess the good news is that she wasn’t upset when she found out, and wished Flash could stick around. Me, I’d kill the guy. Because I’m eeeevil.
The space station gets wrecked pretty frequently. Does Bruce Wayne have to foot the bill for that every time?
It’s not ethical (there was a Buffy episode where Faith, inhabiting Buffy’s body, engaged in some marathon sex with Riley), but Tala wouldn’t have minded too much – her previous boyfriend was a gorilla who bragged about “bending her to his will.”
Not to mention Flash didn’t want to risk gettin found out by the rest of the Legion. He was in a body without any superpowers (he didn’t know Luthor made it so he could override the every Legion member’s powers) Sure Luthor didn’t seem all that into Tala but Flash couldn’t have known that.
Took em long enough to figure out that turning off the artificial gravity was the ticket. :dubious:
BTW–my viewing is spotty. How about a link to an online Bio of Tala?
Bio for Tala is here, but WARNING!!! the bottom of the page spoils the ending of this season of JL! Don’t click if you don’t want to be spoiled (luckily, I’ve already seen the season from the overseas, but I’m warning ya: don’t spoil yourself with this link)
As the article says, her JLAS appearances are very toned down in both power and evil from the comics.
As fun as this episode was, the best part was the coming attractions:The Fatal Five. Supergirl & The Legion of Superheroes (which seems to be mirroring upcoming comics)I can’t wait! I’m in rabid fanboy heaven.
