There’s 3 different teasers on youtube. But even better is The Shootings of Raylan Givens. Sweet memories.
Count me in - huge fan.
Righteous! Excellent collection.
I’ll be there, but I’ll be late. Stupid cable company doesn’t carry FX, so I’ll be watching via Amazon.
From the previews, it looks like one of my favorite actors from Band of Brothers will be going up against Raylan.
I noticed that, too. I get the feeling that actors will be nudging their way into this show for the same reason they wanted to be part of the other better quality shows before this one. If they can provide as much excitement as Margo Martindale did this past year, then the more the merrier.
Oh, yeah. I see them long hard times to come.
Yes! Since Dexter and The Walking Dead finished, I haven’t had anything much to watch. Here’s hoping for a good season.
Margo was excellent last year and fully deserved her Emmy Award for the role! Sort of wish she were still around for another season or two, but - well - you know…
Looking forward to the new season.
I did a little searching for more details and located this article.
The IMDb page for Neal McDonough doesn’t credit him yet for Justified but that seems normal for yet-to-be-released episodes of TV shows.
In my post above when I said, “I get the feeling that actors will be nudging their way into this show for the same reason they wanted to be part of the other better quality shows before this one” I had a show in mind but am now having trouble thinking of which show it must have been. Within the past few years there’s been at least one show that’s been crowded with name actors with good and solid reps. Help me remember which show(s) I must be thinking of…
Since I just saw the Netflix version of The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) today, I know that’s not the one I was thinking of, but take a look at all the folks in that movie! Not bad a movie, either. The actor who gave me fits trying to remember where I knew him from is Shea Whigham who was Eli in Boardwalk Empire which didn’t finish its season until just a couple weeks ago! I had already forgotten where I had seen him!
Newbie here. I kept looking for it last season whenever I thought about it but didn’t catch a single show. But I’ve heard enough about it to be intrigued. Marking it on my calendar this time.
Huge fan here too. I was counting the days until I could set up my DVR to automatically add Archer and Justified. I’m giddy with excitement.
Bumping as a reminder to the fans.
Thanks for posting this thread. I’ve been saving the last episode from last season to watch for a while. No good reason to save it, but I did. Anyway, watched it today and I loved it. Can’t wait to see what goes forward next season.
Is Dickie coming back for vengeance? Or is last season the end of the Bennets?
What’s going on with Raylon’s Dad and Boyd? Is Eva ok? Such an interesting dynamic - enemy of my enemy. But, now that there is not another unjailed major enemy how will they interact with Raylon?
How about Winona? Will she really disappear with Raylon’s baby and everything?
Such an awesome show. Can’t wait to see what transpires. Really loved the final episode, especially with the Marshals rushing in to save the day. He needed saving twice in one episode. Still an ass kicker, but needed the help this time.
Hope they can keep everything as perfect as it was last season. They really ran the gamut of great acting. Loretta was an especially good character, and well portrayed by the actor, Martindale deserved any awards she reserved plus Oliphant and Goggins were as good as always. There really are no performances in the show that aren’t pitch perfect.
Hah! That’s funny just saw an ad for the new season. Had some of my questions hinted at in the ad. Plus, a few glimpses of new characters. Looks great!
And we’re off!
Seems like they aren’t wasting any time at all this season; just jumping right in.
Excellent season premiere.
Pretty obvious what Boyd was up to from the get go, but I still loved every second of it.
I am still kicking myself for not figuring out ahead of time how Raylan was getting out of the showdown with that guy from Dexter. Perfect.
What Boyd did wasn’t obvious to me. Sometimes I need to be hit over the head, or read Sepinwall’s blog.
Was Boyd on probation, and that’s why he’s already in prison for assaulting Raylan? Raylan must be off his game, for not figuring it out. It’ll come to him.
This show had a lot of eye candy – Olyphant, McDonough, the guy who played Nicks. Whew.
Great opening episode.
I think that the “snappy dialogue” from the first season is back. I think last season just didn’t quite have that Elmore Leonard “snap” to it, even though it had a good story and excellent acting.
Frex: (paraphrased from memory:)
Art: “Raylan, just what do you think you can do?”
Raylan: “I can be the guy on the radio, telling people what to do.”
Art: “That’s my job, asshole.”
Ava is definitely embracing her inner-gangster. Hell, I’ve wanted to smack some of Boyd’s accomplices in the face with a cast-iron skillet.
And Raylan’s move in the showdown was so smooth, I had to rewatch the encore to catch it. I need to get a DVR for stuff like this.
I just now watched the DVR of last night’s episode. You’re right on all counts, ExTank, especially the pace and “snap” of the dialog. I busted out laughing any number of times over the way the writers and actors are in sync on making these people real.
I realized I have to rewatch the last episode of last year’s show, since so much of the gunplay that got Raylan and Ava wounded has slipped my mind.
The new folks have bumped this up a notch or two in terms of excitement, and I really like what Desmond Harrington is doing. This character is much more fun than Quinn on Dexter.
Thank you!! The whole time I was watching the show last night I couldn’t for the life of me figure out where I knew that actor from.
