Fried zucchini is Krishna’s gift to us, to prove he loves us.
Seriously, it’s sooooooooooo yummy.
I’m with you, mika, altho I prefer my mom’s version -
She’d slice the zuke into rounds and sautee them in a mix of butter and olive oil (to prevent burning) then just before they were done, she’d sprinkle the tops with fresh grated parm and slap a lid on the pan. The zukes would get tender and the cheese toasty and crunchy. yummerinos!
Uh, yeah… There’s a new cover sheet that has to be attached to that. I’ll send it to you.
Don’t forget the flair.
Tomorrow’s dinner is simmering - what a messy chore it is to cook that meal!! But the dishes are in the dishwasher, the critters are fed, and **FCD ** is in ManLand making sawdust. Tonight is a grab-whatever dinner night. Tomorrow will be yummerrific!!!
So, what whatever should I grab? There’s leftover chicken from yesterday, but I don’t want chicken. Maybe I’ll just make a grilled cheese sammich. Or a bowl of ice cream… hmmmm, decisions decisions
My new officemate/team member has a picture of what’s-his-name (the boss) from Office Space up in his cube. That’s how I knew he’d be an ok coworker.
how about grilled ice cream?
I went with a cheese sammich, and the ice cream will be dessert. Why have either when you can have both??
So I went from fussing with a police department to researching facilities in the California Dept of Corrections & Rehab. Folsom, if you’re interested, was built in 1880, is currently more than double its purported capacity, has its own museum and is located at 300 Prison Road in Represa. It’s surprising collegiate-looking, at least from the air. It must be all the granite. No sign of the train tracks, though.
Did you know they manufacture mattresses
at San Quentin? None of that is relevant to what I’m researching, so I thought I’d share it with you instead.
No, no… you really ought to have made a grilled cheese ice cream sandwich.
I like zuchinni, especially grilled, but when they get to 11 pounds they’re not grillable. And I’ve got so very much of it.
Baking’s done, and I’ve just got to summon the willpower to clean the kitchen in a bit. The soup is good. I think I’ll take myself for a walk on the beach after the sun’s set. It’s a nice cool evening.
Both biopsies were negative! I’m so relieved! I go back in a month, but my doc is confident that I’m home free.
Thanks for all your good thoughts.
Yay!!!
Great news!
WOO and HOO!!!
I used to like zucchini, then mom planted some in her garden. That summer we ate a lifetime supply of zucchini. We got an email from my cousin Ian in Iraq. He is alive and well, enjoying his 3 daily mortarings.
Picu WOOOOOOOOO!
Jahdra, why are you researching prison, is there something you’re not telling us?
Don’t use my red Swingline to attach the cover.
When I left my old employer, I had to settle for a blue Swingline instead…
Oh, Picu, I need to add my congrats on the no boobie growths report.
w00t! w00t!
Go, picu!!!
That is truly excellent news! Yay!
I like zucchini. Zucchini bread, zucchini cake (I have a recipe I need to go find), and zucchini with onion and tomato and corn and cheese melted over it. Also tres yum.
I’m tired. Work was really frustrating today. Tomorrow has to be better. I did get to go out with non-work friends tonight, which was really fun.
And now we’re starting to get a thunderstorm and I’m falling asleep, so it’s off to beddy bye…

Yay, picu!
For my birthday, I want vodka, and lots of it.
hic
Great news, picu!!
The Ladies Night Out went nicely - the hostess made chocolate balls that involve cream cheese, oreo cookies and chocolate. They are incredible, and she gave me a few to take home because I was too full to eat more than one at the party. I have nice friends.
Fed and medicated SIL’s dogs, then tried to keep the basset out of the beagle’s food, without much success. If I held the basset, the beagle wanted attention, too, so she wasn’t eating. Of course the minute I let go of the basset, she had her snout in the beagle’s dish. I have never seen a dog eat so fast.
I am full and sleepy. G’night and catnip dreams to all.
