Kal and Washte do Dublin... Be scared... Be very very scared!

well, what night would suit the most natives and johnny foreigners?

I never wear anything else. Seriously, though, if you want to mail me, I can give you various mobile phone numbers. P.S. my real name is “Jim”, but don’t tell anyone.

We’d like to get togther with ya’ll - as a group or individually - each night. We’ll piddle playing tourist during the day then meet up with whomever in the evening.

You can’t miss us. Kal is 6’2", long black hair and a goatee. I’m 5’9", long dark hair, no goatee.

As this is our first time in Dublin, we are unfamiliar with the pubs n such. You guys decide the place and time for Monday night and all other forays can be decided upon then.

The White Horse? Alright for a post work pint when everywhere else is packed but it’s not really any good for a group bigger than 4 people. I’ll throw out

O’Neills: Hey we haven’t been there for a while
SoSueMe: Lots of room
The Pav: Irishgirl can sit on my knee :stuck_out_tongue:
Brazen Head: It’s the oldest pub in Ireland and a nice one to boot
Keoghs: Great Pint
Bruxelles:makes Demon sign and shouts Rock and Roll
Nearys: Good pint, nice pub
McDaids: History, good pint, beside Bruxies

curly chick you’ll have no problem finding me when we eventually settle on a meeting place. I’ll be the one that looks like Joe Duffy :frowning:

We’re also open to the idea of liquid lunches…

jjimm: We’ll be dropping you an email later today.

He is, of course, lying. Due to the monkey gland injections (see previous page), yojimbo is only 4’6", and wouldn’t look out of place playing Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

I am that merry wanderer of the night. I jest to Oberon and make him smile when I a fat and bean-fed horse beguile, neighing in likeness of a filly foal; and sometimes lurk I in a gossips bowl

You could check out the photos here for a look at those boys ugly mugs. Give you an idea of what you are letting yourself in for.

Don’t think I’ll be able to get down unless I win the lottery this weekend. So skint. January is a long, long month after the wanton revelry of the past few weeks.

Plus, think I need to give my liver a week off. Its only fair, once in a while.

Do I know that feeling!

My wallet is skinny and my Liver is swollen.

Why don’t we go mad and go to the Dawson Lounge!!
THAT would be funny!!
And at least we wouldn’t be able to miss each other!!

bump

OK, so how about we make a decision where to meet today in this thread, for any Dub residents who haven’t got anyone else’s contact details (curly chick et al)?

I reckon that Mulligan’s is a good bet for the following reasons[ul][]It’s probably not going to be too crowded on a Monday night.[]As an intro to the city’s pubs, it’s a ‘proper’ Dublin pub, not a trendy spot like, e.g. Sosume. Plenty of time for that during the week.Best Guinness in the city, IMO.[/ul]So, anyone agree? What time then?

Or what about the Dawson Lounge, as cc suggested? It would be like one of those “how many cub scouts can you get in a phone box” things they used to do in the 70s.

Mulligan’s is fine by me

You’d have to count me and Washte as at least 2 people each, I’m afraid.

So with two votes for Mulligan’s, shall we say it’s passed by a quorum?

What time, then?

Anytime after 5:30 is good for me.

Hm… I’m nearer “any time after 8”, as I have to drive across the city to dump my car at home, then get back into town. Don’t peak too early…

Oh I think I’ll manage not to be too far gone by the time you arrive

Sounds good to us.

Foolish mortal - Washte is the beer chuggin’ queen o’ da world!

Well, she used to be. Then she discovered shandy. Oh well, to her Oregonian sensibilities it’s an exotic cocktail.

Mulligan’s is just across the road from work so that’s perfect for me. 5.30 suits me fine.
