Well this is a lot of seats to fill. An acceptance speech watch party at Soldier Field. I wonder how turnout will be.
I doubt they would have secured that large a venue if they weren’t confident about filling it.
The stadium is full at about 62,000. Far lower than most NFL stadiums.
And if she has the reach of Obama in 2008 (I think she does), well…

For concerts and stuff they also have seating on the field. Either way, with a full house at the United Center, the addition of participants at the watch party should translate into a crowd size fit to boil Trump’s soulless blood.
Just take one look at Tim Walz. The guy looks like he was born wearing a “Grill Master” apron and holding a Miller Light (I think that’s what they drink up there)
That’s been one of the things they’ve had a harder time dealing with. Their side values “traditional” (we know what the codewords really mean) appearance, and the guy looks exactly like what he really is - a Midwesterner who likes football and his bland Midwestern foods. Who also happens to be well spoken, intelligent, and espouses the family and community values they only pretend to have.
He’ll just claim the crowd was AI generated, or crisis actors, or some new lie.

But it keeps him talking about the important things, ya know? While Kamala addresses the actual concerns of voters.
Even better, he looks like he was born holding a Diet Coke. A clean cut dad, who genuinely has more fun playing catch with the cousins out in the yard than standing around with the menfolk, drinking and bloviating. A goofy dad. A safe dad. A dad who checks your tires because he worries, and tells you when you need new ones.

I heard some snippets of Harris speaking on the radio this a.m. I was reminded that she has an unusual (to me) vocal habit of ending her phrases/sentences with descending tones. Kinda the opposite of the “upspeak” common among young women “influencers.” Just the tone she uses always sounds somewhat patronizing to my ear. A minor thing, but just the impression I’ve always gotten.
Not having heard this, I’m wondering if the same tone would sound patronizing to you if it were done by a man.
I’m pretty sure it would, but lacking a ready example, I can’t say for certain.

Well, if you don’t want her to go up at the end of her sentences, the next most probable way of signaling the end of a sentence is to go down.
I suspect it would not sound patronizing to you from a man.
I suspect you are imputing something to me out of your own need to feel a certain way/push a certain agenda, rather than from any awareness of my mental state.
Gee - I can only end phrases going up or down. I cannot maintain a steady tone, vary up and down within the same sentence, end some phrases up and others down…

It confirms essentially-must-win PA as a total tossup. And, it confirms that we can’t count on Georgia at all.
All it does is (if confirmed by upcoming polls) add Nevada to the mix of states (the others being North Carolina and Arizona) that could allow Kamala to win if she loses PA. Until now, it looked like it would HAVE to be NC and AZ. Now, it’s looking possible that any two out of three (adding NV) would do the trick (feel free to check my math on that).
