I got distracted when I read about “mountain biking” … in Kansas. Huh?
I’m confident I could.
I’m listening…
Personally, I tend to blame Democratic candidates when they lose, because most of the time they act like total pussies when they campaign. They lack the courage of their convictions and seem to think it’s more desirable to not offend conservative voters than it is to appeal to liberal voters.
I’ve said before that people want to rally behind a champion. If you sit there and weasel about whether you voted for the president, you deserve to lose.
Here the record to run on is so strong (economics, social policy, foreign policy) that only a milquetoast pantywaist would run from it. Fuck those kind of Democrats until they learn the lesson.
I know Texans like to think they are in a whole 'nother country, but I think Texas is still part of the US.
So your posts vs. the posts of nearly everyone else on the SDMB; yeah that sounds like a fair comparison.
In all fairness, if there were really Muslims taking over Texas I’d let them keep it. In some respects, you’d never notice. Oil, fundamentalism, gender inequality and social repression: Texas is like a Wahhabi paradise.
The Rio Grande Valley is culturally a whole other place, that’s for sure. And have you ever been to Rusk County in East Texas? Yowsers.
Exactly. Well-said.
If any of the silly bastards had fucking owned what the Dems have done, they would’ve won in a landslide.
I didn’t say it made sense, or was grounded even slightly in reality. I said it because he actually told me that. Along with, almost word for word, what Elliot Rogers said about women. I get this sort of crap every single day, more’s the pity.
Exactly.
The US doesn’t really have a Left. The Democrats are bad enough, but the GOP has moved into a mental hospital, and yet they can still win when…
… the demographic profile of mid-term voters is so different than that of voters in Presidential elections.
Well, I’ve been wrong before, but since I don’t recall doing anything of the sort – unless the context made clear I was writing sarcastically or something – put up. Where? I don’t recall ever doing that. Surprise me.
Stolen.
Well, there is this one for example,
Now it only one and not entirely analogous to what is being discussed, but if there is one thing I’ve learned about Bricker logic is that it only takes one example of something vaguely similar to in order make both sides equivalent with a shout of “Your side does it too”. So we should be done here.
Guess what’s? You’re not the ONLY conservative and sdmb is not the ONLY forum where conservatives express their views. You want an example . . . Obama voters wanted “free stuff”
What, you want EVIDENCE in support of my confidence level?
Checkmate.
Well, the money has spoken.
The problem isn’t that people are voting against their best interests. The problem is that outside of presidential elections, young people can’t be bothered to actually vote.
Yes, that too! You beat me to it.
