Kanye West is going to get someone killed (or do the killing himself)

Just to be clear, I’m on Kim’s side in this argument; I think I’ve stated that.

But sometimes, all the help and meds in the world simply aren’t enough.

I’m in treatment for schizo-affective disorder. I’m bipolar manic/depressive, and as long as I take my medication, I’m usually okay. But I still experience periods of great anxiety, particularly when I’m trying to settle down and go to bed for the night.

My ex-girlfriend and (currently former) best friend has the exact same diagnosis that I do, but she also has added personal trauma in her life, and her medications don’t work quite so well. Whenever she and I get into an argument, she tends to cut off contact with me for months at a time. I have to be Mr. Perfect at all times, but I usually tolerate her behavior.

Of course, but I’ve never seen anything to suggest that West has ever tried any treatment, talk or meds. If he’s actively been seeking help his whole life, I will withdraw my statements. There’s something wrong with this guy and it’s way beyond just being an asshole.

Looks like he was on medication at one point in his life, and felt creatively stifled, and stopped taking his meds “for the benefit of his music”.

And I can almost understand that. Mania feels really good sometimes, and some antipsychotic medications can really make you feel dull. As someone who writes and sings every day, I felt I couldn’t do either very well when I was on my first cocktail of psych meds.

They eventually found something that worked for me.

But he’s a danger to himself and others.

My mother-in-law has bipolar disorder. She regularly goes off of her medications, because she feels like everything becomes duller (as you note), and she “misses the highs.”

All that plus money. He’s dangerous.

Pete Davidson has stated that next month he is going up into space.

Q: Is Ye going to go after him in a Klingon warship?

( Oh, Stop! You and I BOTH know that it would be more interesting than the Catwalk Vamping that is called ‘Star Trek Discovery’. )

Think Kanye’s seen this?

Super Dickery!

Kanye posted on instagram that he isn’t being allowed to see their daughter, and Kim called him out. “Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking up the kids for school."

What we have here is an example of ‘don’t let the crazy stick his dick in you’.

I try to ignore all things Khardashian, but I find this all rather amusing (except for the potential for violence, of course.) Kanye’s been an arrogant dick for so long that a little comeuppance might be good for him. Seeing him tear his hair out over his ex preferring the geeky Davidson to the ‘genius’ artist is hilarious. The bruising of his immense ego seems far more motivating than any hopes of reconciliation. Move on, Kanye. She’s just not that into you.

Wonder what Kanye West thinks of reports that Pete Davidson is going to space on one of Jeff Bezos’ rockets.

The last line of the article is…….interesting.

Fans will soon get a closer look at Pete and Kim’s budding romance, as well as her contentious relationship with Kanye, in Hulu’s The Kardasian’s series, premiering April 14th.

I’d hate to think that the three of them were playing this up for profit.

No, no. These are the actions of people who crave privacy and security.

Oh, Jesus. If this whole fear of violence thing is overblown for television and social media, a plague on all their houses.

I’ve been on a light dose of lithium (lowest blood concentration level that is considered therapeutic) since about a year and a half ago, and there definitely is a dulling. Mania can certainly be pleasurable, so I understand wanting to get off the medication, though, for me, the minuses far outweigh the plusses at the moment, and my dulling is probably a lot less extreme than others on higher dosages. I know there are a lot of myths (as the article noted) surrounding mood disorders and creativity, but I do have to say, back when I wasn’t treated, my hypomanic episodes fueled great bursts of creativity that don’t seem to exist anymore, or are much harder to achieve. There’s this “brain fog” or “writer’s block” going on. As a person who sustains himself through his creativity, I understand why Kanye would want to go off the drugs, whereas I might suggest trying different pharmaceutical and/or cognitive therapy solutions, as @ekedolphin found.

I don’t think Pete is that way inclined, but the other two in the triangle? Mos def.

Has anyone else read the details of his post-Kim relationship? Not just scripted, but openly so. That Fox lady also sounds like a real peach…

About the same thing as George Takei thought about William Shatner.

“Oooooh! Foxy lady!”

– Jimi Hendrix

Good perspective from Trevor Noah, making the point that some people still can’t seem to grasp: Kim wanting publicity doesn’t mean she wants to be harassed or deserves to be harassed.

I also like the quote “I get it, art can be therapy. But therapy can be therapy too.”

In repose to this, Kanye posted a racist slur on Instagram and was suspended for 24 hours.
