I find the tests used to determine these types are more difficult for me than most tests I have taken. The questions are straightforward enough; I wonder what the problem is. I tested as INTJ consistently through college. It was only after college that I began to test ISTJ at all. I still think the description provided with the INTJ profile is more fitting, but I’ve learned to take the results of such tests lightly.
I was an INFP in high-school… I probably should take it again. Thing is though… I don’t believe in personality types. Pardon me for being cognitave, but if there are personality “types” then there are 6 billion of them… IMHO.
I have taken the online versions a few times. The only aspect that isn’t just about 50% is I. I’m damn near completely introverted.
This last time was INTP.
I don’t like the false dichotomy that a lot of the questions have. A lot of them are “do you X or Y?”, when X and Y aren’t mutually exclusive, and I do both.
ESTJ – the Keirsy called me an “SJ Guardian.” Many of the things they claim are really important to this category – like family events – I don’t give jack shit about. So, I for one, am not convinced. Personally, I more match the description of the traditional Gemini than the ESTJ.
