I was thumbing through Entertainment Weekly recently and was thrilled to see that the first season of Kids in the Hall is coming out on DVD. I saw them in Seattle during their last tour, and they were absolutely amazing live. I’ve been waiting (very impatiently) for both KITH and Seinfeld to come out on DVD.

Ah, fond memories of KITH on HBO. I remember watching the first Buddy sketch and being literally convulsed with laughter. I don’t think I’d ever been in pain from laughing before.
Mom, in France kids are drunk. It’s true, in France every kid is forced to drink a bottle of wine with every meal, and also, they just stare off because there are no TV sets there.
Any opinions on whether or not the first season is worth purchase? I’ve probably seen some skits/episodes from that long ago, but can’t discern very well…
There is a episode guide here that is quite detailed (it looks like it lists each sketch in the episodes). From what I can remember of the sketches listed in season one, the DVD should be well worth the purchase.
