Tell him you think Star Wars is infinately better than Lord Of The Rings. This will send him scurrying online to complain to fellow LOTR geeks, giving you a respite from his presence.
Unless he’s Bi-geetual, liking both Star Wars and LotR.
Er, that should be bi-geektual.
SC_Wolf, this is only hypothetically possible. In reality, all geeks have an orientation. It’s SciFi OR Fantasy. None can love them both the same. They may dabble in one or the other, but when it comes right down to it all geeks are either SciFi geeks or Fantasy geeks.
How do I know this? Well, I’m not a geek, but I have friends who are, so I’ve seen it in action.
God, that was wierd.
There is this girl at work. We were talking once and she dropped into conversation where she was going to be this coming weekend night. I thought maybe she was hinting.
Call me an optimist. I showed up. Said hi. I realized I probably made a fool out of myself but I thought she liked me. When I realized she didn’t, I became embarassed and stopped talking with her whenever possible.
Now, my company moved us into cubes and guess who gets stuck next to me? You guessed it. Now I have to put up with her acting all superior to me and talking all the time real stuck-up like to her friends.
I tried to break the ice with her by asking her if she was going to see then new LOTR movie. I thought it was safem you know, because everyone is seeing it. She acted all stuck up and snotty implying that no one but geeks and dufuses see that kind of show. I left never to bother her again.
It is real hell to have to work near such a stuck up, snotty woman. What do I do?
Could it be that he’s posting in Cafe Society at this very second? Let me don my elvish cloak and saunter over there to keep this poor guy company.

So you mean that geek multitasking hasn’t been observed to date?

:horking laugh:
Sounds like nothing a battle axe between the shoulders wouldn’t fix. Try and get him in the parking lot, behind a van or other large object if possible. The bathroom might work too. Oh, and remember to wear gloves.
