As if we didn’t need more drama. Tons of stuff coming across Twitter now and most of it from people I trust.
So who’s next in line for the monarchy?
May his suffering be accute, brief and final.
President Trump hasn’t tweeted yet, it is 1034 PM in Washington DC and the president tweeting around this time isn’t uncommon.
Why brief?
That he’s in poor health wouldn’t surprise me at all, because of his morbid obesity.
Another report, looks like CNN has the most information, Bloomberg now picking it up
I’m sure that bibliophage and Neil Peart are following this very closely.
Neil Peart died in January (that one, anyway).
I screwed up when looking at the chart. It’s Mr. Know It All that had Peart. If Kim gives him 64 points it would put Know It All in second place.
Sorry for the duplicate thread.
Probably his brother, Kim Jong-chul. Jong-chul is the older brother and at one time was the heir apparent. But their father, Kim Jong-il, decided he liked Jong-un better and demoted Jong-chul. But Jong-chul is still alive and available.
There’s a dispute whether Kim Jong-un was born in 1982, 1983 or 1984.
The most disturbing thing about this is realizing when Kim Il Sung’s birthday was.
Death of Lincoln, Titanic Sank, the Belfast Blitz, Kim Il Sung’s birth.
Why did so many tragic historical events fall on my birthday?
On the other hand, Reuters reports that South Korea says Not So. The South Korean sources say they believe that Kim is recovering from his procedure at a villa.
NPR, which is always slow due to their mandate to check and re-check their stories, has nothing.
CNN may have been premature.
Kim Jong-deux
So per that CNN story
- one US official says he’s in grave danger, yet CNN doesn’t quote what the official actually said
- another US official says that the severity is hard to access
- and a report from Daily NK says that his condition has improved
but the headline is “grave danger.”
WTF CNN?
Why does this have to happen when we cannot dance in the streets?
Okay, that made me laugh out loud. Thanks, Lord Mondegreen!
