I’m looking for a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy themed skin for my new Kindle that I’m getting. Any ideas on where I could find such a thing?
You could try etsy.com and search for “kindle skin.” A lot of artists on etsy are willing to do custom orders.
I also think that the bigger vendors like DecalGirland SkinItwill let you provide your own design, then cut it for your device (be that a Kindle or something else). So if you already have a “Don’t Panic” design in mind, you could upload it and they’d create it for you. Not sure if it’s more expensive, though.
Checking, checking…I definitely see the Create Your Own tab on the SkinIt site, but I’m not finding something similar on DecalGirl. Nor did a search for “Don’t Panic” or “Hitchhiker’s Guide” return anything there, either.
I have a DecalGirl skin for my Kindle, and I really like it. Was easy to apply, as well. It’s not super-protective (as in, padded), but it’ll keep superficial scratches and scrapes off the housing, which I like. Plus, pretty!
Excellent idea, btw. If it’s not already out there, there’s a fortune to be made. . .
I’d probably get one. What could be more fitting?
