Kingdom Hospital - I predict... (spoilers from last night)

First, before I get to my big stunning revealation that FINALLY hit me while watching the show last night, the show has taken a huge leap from creepy into just plain bizarre. New characters are being introduced still each week and each time they enter surgery, things just go all wanky. It seems Blondie is able to cross back and forth into Swedborgian space, and no sign of devil boy at all this week (and other than the brief mention of it at the end of the episode, no sign of the ambulance/doctor). I am curious as to the fate of the headless guy, would love to see him end up wandering the halls of the real hospital as the series progresses, somehow crossing the border over (and kudos to the use of Basement Jaxx last week).

Also, it was good/disturbing to see that Stegman had a copy of King’s (as Bachman) copy of Rage on his shelves.

Anyway, for my big prediction:

My money says that Johnny B. Goode, when we FINALLY see him, will be played by Stephen King. He always makes a cameo in his productions, and it seems like the perfect opportunity to spring him on us near the end as a surprise.

Hmmm. I never thought of that but, hey, why not?

I, too, really like the headless guy. Very classic ghost-y, angry spirit running around looking for his stolen head, pounding the floors. Other than that, so much new stuff is being introduced every week, I have a hard time following it sometimes. I was just getting into the alcoholic seizmologist (sp?), and now we have the evil, heart-attack lawyer to think about. I really wish they would have just gone ahead and done like a four part miniseries with this, like four hours apiece or something, similar to The Stand. It’s just too much to take in one hour doses, once a week. I’m always like “Okay, what the hell was going on again?”

And of all the chaos going on in the Hospital? Mary is the thing I care the absolute least about. Little girl, died, needs help, blahblahblah. Mr. Bunny cracked up when, last night while Druse was saying “I have SO MUCH TO TELL YOU”, I spoke up and said “Like what? There’s the ghost of a little girl around here, her name’s Mary, and she wants help or something and says so EVERY THIRTY SECONDS. That’s it!” I find the wack-ass doctors and constant stream of crazy patients ever-so-much-more interesting.

It’s hard to say what King’s going to do, because he’s already made a vocal cameo as the alcoholic geologist’s AA sponsor. He could appear as that character; he could do something else.

And I know the show is a little confusing, but do we really have to recap the entire series so far before every freaking episode? This week’s recap was a good five minutes long; really, it’s just getting silly now.

I’ve lost track of this show. The last episode I was aware of was on May 13 and I missed it as I was out of town. Was the last episode aired shown on the night of Saturday, May 15 instead of a Thursday night? According to the official website, the next episode hasn’t been scheduled yet. Guess I’ll have to wait for it to be released on DVD to make any sense out of it now.

You didn’t miss anything. There was no episode aired between 4/29 (Butterfingers) and 5/20 (The Resurrection of Reverend Jimmy).

They didn’t show Kingdom Hospital up here last week - it was that extreme home makeover show. Is this just a regional thing, or have they changed the days on us again?

We didn’t have the Resurrection of Rev Jimmy ep either (Basketball playoffs. ya know), nor did we have an ep last night. I got the impression that ABC was killing it.

Hmmm… We wound up not getting it here last night either. It had been on TiVos “to-do” list earlier this week but didn’t get recorded last night because “the program was no longer in the guide data”. I guess ABC shot it down. Too bad; the show had problems but I was still watching.

Oh, and correcting myself, it was “The Passion of Reverend Jimmy”, not “Resurrection”

Sorry to add confusion to everything. When I originally searched for the most recent posts on Kingdom Hospital, I accidentally read the date of this thread as originating in May, not April. That’s why I got on this Saturday tangent, I was looking at the wrong month. It looks like I’ve missed the two most recent shows, May 13 because I was out of town and the following week, because I forgot about it.

They’ve changed the official website since last week. It no longer says that the next episode hasn’t been scheduled yet, but all I can find is that it’s still on Thursday nights.
