Again Silas has the best line.
Too bad the show won’t live. But then, who does?
Great show, killed before its time. Damn, I would’ve loved to see this story continue.
Yes, I would have loved to see David’s rise to the throne.
I still don’t understand the reason for David’s unreasonable loyalty. Naive patriotism, perhaps?
That, and I’m assuming God told him to be? I can’t really remember though.
He’s loyal to the realm, not to the King. He was originally loyal to the King until he realized that he didn’t deserve it.
Is this the last episode? If not, how many more left?
Yes, that’s it. NBC dropped it with initial bad ratings.
I’m happy. It couldn’t have gone on without Ian McShane, and Silas would have to go at some point soon, lest it become Tom & Jerry or a really bad soap.
Well the story would have been about David’s rise to the throne, so they could’ve carried it until that point, which would’ve been logical. A two-season run would’ve been perfect.
But that being said, the marketing department at NBC must be run by a bunch of serious morons if they couldn’t get a bible story high ratings.
They had a bunch of vague glossy advertisements all over New York, but obviously they failed at letting the bible belt market know that it’s a biblical story.
Which implies that they couldn’t tell with Silas last name being “Benjamin” and a name like “David Shepherd”.
Nonetheless, this is the outfit that dropped Star Trek like a hot rock.
I agree, a second season would have been great; Saul asked his shield bearer or squire or whatever to kill him after losing a battle to avoid capture, was refused and fell on his own sword. That would have been a great way to end it. Silas bodyguard and “will no one rid me of this truculent priest” woman would have the courage to do it for him, or course.
Naw best line was from his body guard to the prince. “It should be so hard pretend your doing in with someone who’s dead”
Sorry if i got it wrong but dahm was that a statement with some deep sting to it.
