Silas gets the best lines.
This is the second time your Mother has given you life.
It will be the last.

I knew he couldn’t be dead. Ian McShane is just too good/evil to die.
You and Queen Rose.
Saul came to a bad end, you know.
I was happy to see that Silas had survived. Probably because it means Cross isn’t getting all he wants.
Just taking the opportunity to air out the tagline…
I liked the two guards’ role in this episode.
“We open the gate, we close the gate.”
“We have an important job!”
Then later, “Can you open the gate?”
It’s a shame this show was canceled. It has to be one of the best shows on network TV right now. On the other hand, Silas eventually has to go, and I don’t know how well the show would hold up without McShane.
Chris Egan’s doing fine as David, but he’d be deeply screwed if he had to follow up McShane
I could imagine Silas taking a puppet master-type role with David as the King. Still conspiring to control things that escape David’s notice. And maybe settle some old scores.
McShane with a grudge is as good as it gets
