Kirk Cameron wants to know if You're a Christian

Here’s the site:

(click high speed for interactive kirk, joy)

This site has Pit written all over it, but I know I’m not inventive enough to do it justice.
Is someone else willing to field this for me?

From the “Growing Pains” trivia page at imdb:

Real christian, Kirk.

The use of Flash alone deserves a lengthy and brutal treatment.

"Does the fact that you have sinned against God scare you? It should.

You have actually angered Him by your sin.

The Bible says His wrath abides on you, that you are an “enemy of God in your mind through wicked works.”"

…uh-oh

God could never be a corrupt judge.

He will punish all the rapists, murderers, and thieves… But he won’t stop there. He will also punish all liars, the lustful, adulterers, idolaters, and blasphemers.

The place of eternal punishment is Hell.
no sir… I sure don’t like where this is going.

I don’t think it says anywhere in the Bible that not being a christian means you go to hell.
I’m not even sure that it mentions hell as a place where bad people go.

If you want to experience pure pain, read Kirk’s columns.

I’m toying with the idea of buying this book, though.

“God Doesn’t Believe in Athiests: Contrary to popular opinion, the existence of God can be proven – absolutely, scientifically, without reference to faith or even the Bible. It is also possible to prove that the Bible is supernatural in origin. This book will do just that. It will also show the atheist that he doesn’t exist, reveal the true motives of the agnostic, and strengthen the faith of the believer.”

I can’t believe someone made a website which explains their beliefs to people. Those goddamn bastards!

Cameron is barking mad. After his conversion he refused to do any scene that implied “fornication”, which included a scene in which he is given a key to his girlfriend’s apartment. One script called for him to be seen in bed with a woman, BUT the camera was to pull back and reveal that he was actually onstage in a college play- the bed scene was fully clothed and completely asexual. He refused to do it and actually called the network execs at home claiming he was being asked to do “pornography”. (I’m guessing Cam hasn’t seen much porno- sometimes the bed scenes in porn actually do imply the people are having sex.)

Dicaprio is still mad over the twice born Cameron’s primadonnaism in shoving him out once he started receiving more fan-mail (by far) than the “yesterday’s news” Kirk.

I have a motive? I always thought that the whole point of being agnostic is that I don’t give a shit!

Nobody’s expressing either surprise or horror that “someone made a website which explains their beliefs to people,” merely expressing their amusement at the site’s contents and celebrity spokesperson.

Nice, almost every test and questionairre leads into buying the dvd set. More and more I think Eric Cartman was right… The Christians are the best to exploit because of the built in base.
I’m gonna go start a Christian Rock Band.

Way of the Master? That sounds like a Kung Fu movie!

…in association with “Christian Snuff Films For The Whole Family, LLC”

That’s quite possibly the funniest thing ever.

"Almost everyone thinks they are a good person.

But the question you should be asking is ‘Am I good enough to get into heaven’."

Er…no, what they should be asking is how to try to be a good person without wondering “What’s in it for me?”
Beyond that, you’re trying to convince non-Christians to become Christian by convincing them they’ve broken the ten commandments? Who, but Christians and Jews, would care?

 Cool! I’ve been wondering about my motives for some time. You’re right, cricetus, I need this book…

We’re talking about a guy who thinks starring in a Left Behind movie is the height of his career, ain’t we?

There was a Left Behind movie?

You know, come to think of it, I think I had mostly managed to erase that information from my long term memory. Thank you SO much for reminding me.

To be fair to Kirk, he has admitted that when he first became a Christian, he was pretty obnoxious about it, especially to his GP associates; and lately, the GP people have admitted he’s mellowed out.

Regarding the “Way of the Master” evangelistic method, a lot of people do claim to keep the Ten Commandments & thus be on their way to Heaven. Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount does say that outwardly keeping Commandments while breaking them in one’s heart still brings on God’s Judgment. Also, since we have all messed up somewhere in keeping God’s laws, we all need salvation, are unable to save ourselves, and thus need Jesus.

I take issue with some details & the way it’s presented, but I do understand the viewpoint. I’d put it differently- God created us to live in trust & love with Him and towards others. We all have been selfish & petty at times in ways which we cannot totally undo. While our best efforts can repair things to some extent, they don’t always fix what we’ve damaged. Therefore, we need salvation, hence a Savior, hence Jesus- and that while God’s Grace can work beyond the Christian faith, it is only in Jesus that we have a sure hope of reconciliation with God.

There, now I’ll be pitted L
Jenaroph. there’s actually TWO!!! L

And PAX is talking with LaHaye & Jenkins about a TV series (LH&J were not happy with the first film & tried to stop the second from being produced).

They didn’t think it was silly enough?

They found it too believable?

What was their objection?
