"Kismen güneşli" -- anyone else getting Accuweather forecasts in Turkish?

Suddenly my phone’s Accuweather page is telling me L.A. is party sunny–in Turkish. But only for L.A. All the other cities on my Accuweather reports are in English.

Also, L.A. was not 81 degrees this morning–it was more like 50.

Yes!!!

I think it has something to do with having your City be based on your location. I have two cities set. One city (Olathe) was hard-coded, and the other (Overland Park) was based on location, I believe. Last night when I was at home in Overland Park, , it gave me the Turkish for “partly sunny”, and the temperature of 81 degrees. However, beneath the “RealFeel” temperature, the actual temperature range (“39/29”) was shown. Plus, the 4-day forecast at the bottom was showing the correct ranges.

I tried deleting the city and re-adding it, then I tried rebooting my phone. Nothing worked. This morning, it still showed the same 81 degrees.

When I got to work, I checked my phone, and the phone showed the correct temperature for Kansas City. I then entered Overland Park and got the correct values (mid-30s and English). However, when I go back home tonight, I will see if it reverts back to 81 and Turkish.

Also, going out to the Accuweather site and checking the temperature for Overland Park showed everything was normal.

At least now I know that it wasn’t just my phone. I would venture to say that something in the Accuweather data stream is wonky.

Thank you for asking the question. I’m glad I’m not alone.

Yes me too. Just yesterday though. All fixed now. Weird

I just got home and everything appears to be back to normal.

So, just a temporary glitch in the matrix; nothing to see here, move along, Citizen.

I got exactly the same thing yesterday for my locale–it said 81F and partly sunny (in Turkish) when it was really 53 and two hours after sundown.

Android phone, Accuweather, based on current location.

L.A. weather reports in Turkish?

That made the Armenians up in Glendale happy, I don’t think!
