Holy Fork It's Hot... How's the weather where you're at?

Looking at weather underground when I got home after work, the weather station closest to my house is reading 126 F (52 C). The “official” temperature for Vegas is currently only 115 F.

So how’s the weather where you’re at??

Quite cool. It’s 12C (54F).

It’s 106º in Sacramento today. But it’s a dry heat…

I was looking forward to a business trip to Las Vegas next week - I extended it over the weekend to get some golf in. But there’s just no way in that heat, and it isn’t likely to change any time soon. Even sitting by the pool sucks in those temperatures. It just feels more humid.

Here in Colorado it is hot, too. Record heat last week, but only 90 or so the last few days.

It’s 105 or so here today.

I’m down in Tucson, and it’s 107 F here right now (~6pm). It was forecast to get to 110 F today, I’m pretty sure it was hotter though.

Yesterday we got to 113 F. I’m just glad I’m not up in Flagstaff, where the weather is unusually hot (high 90s), and many places don’t have air conditioning. At least I can put my AC on “arctic blast” and get some relief.

109 in Modesto,Ca

I saw the news about how hot it was in NV and actually thought of you - don’t let the shot glasses melt. I trust the jelly bellies are already gone?

We’re mid-high 80’s during the day and looking at the next few days touching 90-ish. But the evenings are cooling off, down into the 60’s.

It’s a regular heat wave here in coastal Santa Barbara. It may have cracked 80 today.

The last week has been beautiful around here. The highs have been no higher than about 85, and the evenings have been cool.

The forecast is calling for it to warm up tomorrow, with a high of 91, but that’s still quite bearable. By Monday it’s going to be 96 which, if we get some humidity too, could be pretty awful.

114 F here in Phoeniz AZ today

Oh, but by next week we’ll be back down to the low 100’s, it’ll feel cool after these temps…

By the pool, in the shade (still gotta wear that sunscreen), preferably near a mister line and a cold frosty beverage in hand… My new fav hot weather concoction is Malibu rum and club soda [quit laughing at me] … light and refreshing (and not too boozy). Just remember to drink water too.

I do have AC at home, work and in my car, thankfully. I have no idea how people drive about with no AC here  or sunglasses for that matter!

Yeppers… I ate them all up over the course of the week I received the shot glasses.

Amusingly, it’s routinely been at or above 100 for the last few weeks here in Las Cruces. Today, with the heat wave west of here, it was only about 91 today and is going to be about that tomorrow.

It’s upper 90s where I am (outside of town) but it looks likely to break 100 (not by much) tomorrow (probably both in and outside of town). Never believe someone who says Montana never gets hot.

Edited to add: It gets down into the 50s or 60s after nightfall. That’s something that never happened back in Missouri.

35 here right now (95 F), which is pretty hot for Bozeman. But I’m still able to be grateful I’m not in the same places as some of you’uns.

Dallas. High 80s today, but it rained yet again. Last summer Texas had a horrible drought. The lakes were down and water rationing was implemented. This year, it’s been weeks gone by since we saw a day without rain, and there’s a not insignificant amount of flooding. :frowning:

In Tallahassee, it’s just like regular North Florida summer - low-mid 90s with a chance of a brief, but intense, and highly localized, thunderstorm every day. Except we haven’t had too much in the way of that chance of rain this year, so it’s just low-mid 90s. Without the usual humidity, it’s actually pretty tolerable. I think it’s only been over 100 a couple of times so far.

Topped out at 100 today. We’ve had alerts all week, and tomorrow is supposed to hit 104. then a slow slide back to the 90s next week.

Hot and riduculously humid, with storms that seem to keep missing my area by only a few miles, so I can’t even count on the rain to cool it down a bit.

Too bad we, the West, can’t take some of that rain off your hands, or more like from your swollen and flooding rivers! We haven’t had measurable rain since February, maybe early March.

I would take something in the 80’s or 90’s but leave out that humidity- that just sucks. I’ll take hot and dry any day. I remember summers when I used to live in Nebraska. Hot. Humid. Take a shower and you can’t dry off. ick!

Ahhhh, ain’t summer grand. :stuck_out_tongue:
