Didn’t they put the makeup back on when they reunited with Ace Frehley and Peter Criss? And AFAIK they still wear it. Tommy Thayer wears Frehley’s “space ace” makeup and Eric Singer wears Criss’ cat man makeup as the makeup designs are trademarked by the band.
